Probably.

If we were in a wrestling match, I could probably take you. Otherwise, probably not.

/has never been in a real fight.

Rollo47 10-30-2006 03:30 AM

Ah, me neither. I just punched some guy in the head once, hahah. I'm pretty solid, and I have a pretty good pain tolerance. Those would be my only advantages.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-30-2006 03:32 AM

Yeah, same here. The only punching and kicking I ever see is at shows.

I can throw a punch, tolerate pain, and I am pretty well built despite being underweight a bit.

I have a feeling that I would be able to hold my own in a fight, though. Wrestling would also give me an advantage if it went to the ground.

Az_Holl 10-30-2006 03:42 AM

No one actaully knows how to fight. Its how many friends/cousins you have that really matters

Rollo47 10-30-2006 03:45 AM

This is true.

*racism, sorry*

Hence why you don't ever want to fight an Aboriginal.

*was not meant entirely seriously*

Pluperfect_Arson 10-30-2006 03:47 AM

It's too bad that all of my friends know how to fight less than I do minus my Asian friend, but he doesn't count. :p

Az_Holl 10-30-2006 03:47 AM

ahha. the aboriginals are my cousins :p Seriously.

And my mates uncle is a drug dealer, so we gain all his connections.

Not that we go around trying to get into fights...

My friends are either massive or crazy, so im not worried.

Yeah, I don't know about you, but around here there's two distinct types. City aboriginals and country aboriginals. The city aboriginals are the problems - drunk, paint sniffers, and violent. The country aboriginals are about as nice as you can get.

Eh...I know that my one guitarist would have my back in a fight seeing as he used to fight and he won't back out of anything. My other guitarist is just like me, and we're both extremely laid back and not caring about anything. My drummer would probably run away, but my vocalist has been in many fights, so he could do it.

My Asian friend can definitely kick anyone's *** and has the highest tolerance for pain that I have ever seen.

Then my other friend...well...he would just be like "Ah, no fighting!"

Of course, I don't go around looking for fights, and I am also not one to start **** with anyone.

Go by this motto: Never start it, but always finish it.

Az_Holl 10-30-2006 03:52 AM

Everyone here is pretty cool... or at least i just dont see what goes on.

Apart from that one guy that stole someones phone. Funniest story ever:

Jesse and Tom are at the train station (tom is a massive aborigianl guy), and they see this guy talking on his mobile.

So Tom walks up to him and says 2 words: "phone cunt"

The guy looks up at him and says: "yeah sure, can i get my simcard out first"

Tom: "yeah"

me: *laughter*

Pluperfect_Arson 10-30-2006 03:53 AM

That is ridiculous!

yeah you really dont want people that just start swinging because more than likely you could have avoided the fight in the first place.

Its cool to know that your friends look out for you though.

Yeah, I guess, it is good to know if it ever comes up.

Seriously, though, I have had people come up to me and say, "Nik, I could never hate you." It even happened at a party. My friend said, "Even though Nik made out with the girl that I liked after he said he wouldn't, I still could never hate him." Then everyone looked at me and agreed, and I felt terribly uncomfortable. :amaze:

I am also rather quiet and kept to myself the majority of the time, so I don't see many fights in the future seeing as the last one I was in was third grade, and that lasted about two seconds.

funkyhoney 10-30-2006 03:59 AM

i learnt a good lesson from my girlfriends brother in law on saturday night. i can't really remember it, but it was something about always over-estimating your opponant and 90% of the time you could and should talk your way out of it.

having said that, he's a strong as **** meat worker and he's gonna teach me how to fight, go me

Az_Holl 10-30-2006 04:01 AM

The last fight i was in wasnt even really a fight, i just grabbed this guy and pushed him up against a brick wall... then i realised he was a good foot taller than and quite broad. Oh man i ran faster than forest gump

But your a skinny bitch, just kick him in the sack.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-30-2006 04:02 AM

Yeah, I would always assume that my opponent would be better in combat than I am just so I wouldn't make the mistake of going in there, guns blazing.

I also wouldn't ever be the first one to swing because A) I think fighting is a bit idiotic, and B) it could almost always be solved before it goes to that. In fact, I would probably be the last one to swing. :p

Have fun being taught how to fight, though!

When it comes to my bass playing, I always seem to be at my best when I'm playing less.

If I take a couple days off, or only play for a few minutes in a day, or anything like that, I always seem to play better when I actually do play. And by better, I mean what I play sounds good, my creativity is higher, etc.

Ditto, it allows one to come back "fresh" so to speak, rather than trying to force it.
