GurS 01-07-2005 02:30 PM

yeh, just about everysong on killers seems to be about muder or death.

Josh 01-07-2005 02:40 PM

except the instrumentals.

ashman 01-07-2005 02:48 PM

Well, they do. Genghis Khan was a Barbarian, killed everyone. Ides of March: some roman guy said beware the ides of march and then he got killed...summat like that anyway...

GurS 01-07-2005 02:50 PM

julius ceaser was told to be wary of the ides of march. he ignored the advice. and got stabbed.

Josh 01-07-2005 02:55 PM

yeh i spose...i hadnt really thought about it that much, was just going on lyrics.

ashman 01-07-2005 03:08 PM

What about Wrathchild? I don't think that's about murder or death...

Josh 01-07-2005 03:10 PM

"i was born into a scene of angriness and greed" is the only part that really qualifies...

cheers for reppage ash, i cant rep you back cos i gave you some the other day.

GurS 01-07-2005 03:10 PM

Deterium216 01-07-2005 06:20 PM

Is anyone looking at this now, or am I the lone Maiden fan awake now? But anyway, enough of Dance of Death, it starts kikin but at the end it just gets evil. Whats up with BNW, though? I really liked that one, it had some kikass stuff, but now I only hear about the eighties stuff and Dance of Death. Are all the other albums just rotting?

AB/CD 01-07-2005 07:38 PM

brave new world was good apart from the wickerman realy iritates me now but i do enjoy playing it on bass

MAthiAS 01-07-2005 07:53 PM

Brave New World > Dance of Death

Both have some killer songs though. Ghost of the Navigator, Blood Brothers, Wicker Man, Nomad, Fallen Angel, Paschendale, Dance of Death, No More Lies, Rainmaker, someone stop me.

and the 80s stuff is just classic and quite obviously their best... the Blaze albums... I don't have so I can't say really.

AB/CD 01-07-2005 07:57 PM

problem with maiden now is too many wannabes no who they r and only no the most famous songs being run to the hills nubmer of the beast rime of the ancient ****ing mariner the trooper fear of the dark and the wickerman non of them actually listen to any of diannos stuff which is some of their best id say

opeth_oasis 01-07-2005 08:05 PM

Anyone know where to get Ed Hunter, i'm desperate for it lol. BTW i never used to like Janick Gers, till i saw him live, hes my fav maiden guitarist now, he plays wit such energy and enthusiasm, not to mention bloody talented. UP JANICK :thumb:

AB/CD 01-07-2005 08:09 PM

they r all equal they wouldnt be in th band if they werent good ya no but sure doesnt make a difference whose the best guitaistas lng as they make good music

opeth_oasis 01-07-2005 11:59 PM

i said Janick was my favourite, im not saying hes the best. They could all be the lead if they wanted too, pretty much equal talent. And btw i cant understand half of what u just sed, check ur writing buddy:thumb:

Maidenfreak6 01-08-2005 12:59 AM
That Rime is one of Maidens most famous songs is new to me....
I agree, tit-headed people who only like a few song don't have the samina to listen to ROTAM, I love it, specially live.

GurS 01-08-2005 06:48 AM

tru say

i just have given out too much :upset:

and they're not all equal, while H is my favourite, there is no denying that Davey's the best guitarist of the three.
