If you haven't seen the video for Rhapsody's Rain of a Thousand Flames, I highly recommend you do so.

boobs + swords + fighting lightning clouds + cheeseist green screen ever = perfect music video.
Oh God, this was THE cheesiest movie I've ever seen. It's like a bad acid trip through a S&M shop run by Dungeons And Dragons fans...

Deth 04-01-2006 10:03 PM

And it fits the music perfectly.

You can all bow down to me later. A few vids from LORD's very first gig.

For those who don't know, LORD is the continuation of Dungeon with LT still frontman, Tim Yatras on drums, Mav on guitar and Andy on Bass.

dUSK 04-02-2006 03:08 AM

Oh I'll bow down to you now. Thanks a lot James. I'm downloading it now.

Good to see the gig seemed to go well. And that they played Lost In The Light. It's one of my favourites from Dungeon, but I'm yet to see it played live.

Riva 04-02-2006 03:21 AM
Well, it's up there. Different genres have their champions.

Watch it.
Quiet you. That album is my favourite album by Rhapsody, and the cheese factor of that video cannot match the cheese factor of the album as a whole.

shadow_stalker 04-02-2006 07:15 AM

The lost Horizon and Kamelot albums i orderd came today, and i ahve to say im quite dissapointed by Lost horizon's, loads of people i talked to said it was a much better album than 'awakening the world', but it just isnt as good, dont get me wrong the songs and production are great but it doesnt have the same epicness...sss...sss to it that the first album had. :upset:

still listening to the Kamelot album, 'tis pretty cool so far, parts of it have a lacuna coil sort of sound (the way what's his name sings) to it, but with a male vocalist.

Screw bowing to you, I'm bowing to the majesty of Mav's hair...

JausmetalJ 04-03-2006 02:14 AM

Oh man, how freakin epic is it.

I love it.

Riva 04-03-2006 03:56 AM

I like A Flame To The Ground Beneath for its maturity, and I do feel it has an epic undercurrent to it, but I think Lost Horizon took a turn for the better when they recorded it. It's more thoughtful, I think.

NP: Dungeon - Legend of Huma

Why do I, an Aussie, laugh at Tim's accent in Live In Japan?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 05:01 AM

haha.

I think it's because we're so used to American accents on television and movies. I do the same thing with that DVD :upset:

Riva 04-03-2006 05:20 AM

Haven't seen Tim for a while, anyways. Wonder what's he's up to...

NP: Split Enz - I See Red

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 05:26 AM

Well I heard he has been getting absolutely pwned my his new guitarist Mav in live guitar duels

;)

JausmetalJ 04-03-2006 05:27 AM

Yeah, Supposedly. I'd freakin love to see that vid.

NP: Dungeon - Severed ties.

dUSK 04-03-2006 05:29 AM

I think Tim's probably pretty busy at the moment. "Dungeon" went back into the studio at the end of February, and are hoping to have the new album out in the latter half of the year.
Yeah, Supposedly. I'd freakin love to see that vid.
What vid?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 05:30 AM

Hopefully.

Looks like the Dungeon fanboys have taken over yet again.

Az_Holl 04-03-2006 05:34 AM

I thought Dungeon split up? Isnt there just Lord now?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 05:36 AM

Yeah they did. Lord will be picking up where Dungeon left off.

Az_Holl 04-03-2006 05:37 AM

Yeah, im kind of a friend of a friend of the drummer and guitarist from Lord, but i missed there show on Friday.

JausmetalJ 04-03-2006 06:08 AM

What vid?
Lol, there isn't an actual vid we know of at the moment... hopefully someone taped it.

Dungeon are still writing a studio album as of contract rules. But they as a band (Dungeon) will not be touring/playing songs.

Tim in LORD will play them and along with all the other Dungeon songs we love.

shadow_stalker 04-03-2006 06:25 AM

well Nightfall in middle-earth came today and i ahve to say im am REALLY not impressed by it, there is nothing special about it that i like

Stoic 04-03-2006 06:27 AM

/heart attack
/RIP...
/Nightfall is played during funeral service

Apocalyptic Raids 04-03-2006 07:17 AM

I'm not a huge fan of NIME either.

Battalions Of Fear ftw

The live versions are much better than the Studio.

all the good songs on there except Noldor and When sorrow sang are on live

Resurrection is getting a hell of alot of listens recently.

NP-Dungeon-No Way Out.

Listen to it again and again.

NP Opeth - Godheads Lament

shadow_stalker 04-03-2006 05:12 PM

well i wasnt an Iced Earth fan until i heard AIA, so im thinking maybe i just need to get a live album by them, never the less i will give it a few more listens before i deem them unworthy of my time

ive listend to it a couple times now and still cant get really into te style, kind of like galloglass' heavenseeker album, brilliant but just not...there

cant help but wodner what Lost horizon's next album will be like without the singer for the last 2 albums (cant remember his name)

Riva 04-04-2006 06:13 AM

Hopefully Ethereal Magnanimous (Daniel) will come back, just like Niklas did for Dream Evil. I'm not holding my breath, though. Amazing voice, he had.

NIME is brilliance incarnate.

Tim is brilliance incarnate.

I want LORD to tour the Far North. :(

shadow_stalker 04-04-2006 10:12 AM

I want LORD to tour as far north as England

Lord Abortion 04-04-2006 11:11 AM

Me too, that would be the greatest thing since sliced pie.

Josh 04-04-2006 12:28 PM

whoa. Jason got a name change
seeing LORD would be good, even though i have yet to hear anything by them. i guess they'd do some Dungeon songs though?

Lord Abortion 04-04-2006 12:41 PM

Yeah, they mostly play Dungeon stuff, I'm not sure what LORD songs they do, though I expect footsteps in the sand is a pretty definite.
