"Incapacitate, fall into your fate
Pain results in screams, bleed internally"

That part in Epidemic rocks so much.

Silent Scream would definatly be in my top 10 Slayer songs list.

And Altar Of Sacrifice would probably be in the top 5.

"Blood turning black, the change has begun
Feeling the hatred of all ****ed in Hell
Flesh starts to burn, twist and deform
Eyes dripping blood realization of death
Transforming of five toes to two
Learn the sacred words of praise, hail Satan"

Yeh!
Slayer are releasing that dvd still reigning at the end of this month in the us and early next month in europe so i'll have to wait just a bit longer :upset: . the entire 10 songs/28 minutes of arguably the greatest thrash album ever. It's gonna be awesome.

iliketoplaydrums10111 10-05-2004 07:56 PM

Angel of Death is my favorite Slayer song, followed by Tormentor, great songs and good drumming by Dave Lombardo.

sensitiveorgan00 10-05-2004 08:34 PM

1. Necrophiliac
2. Raining Blood
3. Chemical Warfare
4. Angel of Death
5. Kill Again
6. Black Magic
7. At Dawn They Sleep
8. Hell Awaits
9. War Ensemble
10. Behind the Crooked Cross

^My top ten favorite Slayer songs, or something close to it.

FatalEnergy 10-05-2004 10:37 PM

I've been listening to a lot of the old Sepultura (Schizophrenia, Beneath the Remains, Arise), and I've just been confused about how such a great band like this went from releasing these classic albums to doing the pure crap they are doing now, its pathetic.

Thank God for Kreator, a band that is still doing thrash

Shady Ultima 10-05-2004 10:55 PM
I'm glad how Shady isn't the only one of us who likes both sides of Slayer, musical and quick. I'm not alone anymore!
I like the musical aspect of it, but I'm hooked on the speed man! When I would write songs for my old band it would always fly from slow musical stuff into thrashy crazy riffs. That's why I love Seasons. Megadeth tends to do that a lot too, and a lot of Metallica's old stuff did. I like slower but heavy.

Top 10 Slayer Songs
1. Raining Blood
2. Seasons in The Abyss
3. Angel of Death
4. Dead Skin Mask
5. South of Heaven
6. Postmortem
7. War Ensemble
8. Chemical Warfare
9. Here Comes the Pain
10. Blood Red

Others:
Disciple, Blood Line, Skeletons of Society.

Has anyone noticed that War Ensemble and AOD sound very similair, especially the intro? Meh, maybe it's just me.
Same with Disciples of The Watch by Testament sounds similair to Die Dead Enough by Megadeth? Or again, it's just me?

Question about Sepultura..The vocalist is the frontman of Soulfly now right? cavarales or something like that?

Sorry for the double, but wow! Someone who actually like Behind the Crooked Cross? I love that song, not enough for top 10 though. My old band covered that in a talent show, we nailed it it was so much fun!

Arise 10-06-2004 02:45 AM
Yet you say "Sep>Christianity". Add the fact that early sep's lyrics were as satanic as they get. You are one messed up dude.
I know they were... And those are equally ****ty
He's an odd character alright.
Why, thank you. I try to do my best :D

JMetallica 10-06-2004 05:15 AM

I SEE SATANAS!!!!!!!!

Lmao, gotta love the extremely poor english vocals.

LordDargon 10-06-2004 05:22 AM

SATANAS IS INVOKED TO DESTROY
AND COMMAND THE BESTIAL
DEVASTATIIIIIIOOOOOOOOONNN

Or in Kreator:

COMMAND OF ZE BLADE
COMMAND OF ZE BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADEEEEEEEEEE

Yeah, so, um, I guess I might as well just do my top slayer songs.

1. Chemical Warfare
2. Raining Blood
3. Tormentor
4. Angel of Death
5. Black Magic
6. Necrophiliac
7. Antichrist
8. Hell Awaits
9. Postmortem
10. Jesus Saves

JMetallica 10-06-2004 05:39 AM

hehe, UNDER THE GEE-O-TEE

Yeah, i love it.

Im listening to the bestial Devestation EP at them moment AND looking at some lyrics. They are totally different to what i grunt out when im singing. I think it was with cryptopsy... a few people wrote up how they interpreted a lyric, so i propose we do the same some, but not limited to, early thrash like Kreator and Sepultura. :D

LordDargon 10-06-2004 05:43 AM

*but limited to?

We could try. In Angel of Death, when Tom says "The way that I want you to die" it sounds like "The women all want you to die." :p

JMetallica 10-06-2004 07:20 AM

** The metal genre?

LordDargon 10-06-2004 07:29 AM

?? bah forget it.

This one time I was listening to Possessed and I though he was like saying
"nyyyyarrrhg blarggggg raaarrrrh theeee eggorcysts bllllllllrrrreeeeeeehhhhhggggg"

...oh wait, he was :upset:

JMetallica 10-06-2004 07:38 AM

hahaha

Shred Danson 10-06-2004 09:09 AM

Hey, do I have to make a ****ing sacrifice to join?

Befor I get flamed, I want to say that I am a big fan of any thrash metal, my favorite thrash metal bands are

Exodus, Testament, Possesed, Dark Angel, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. So if you consider me worthy, then...:thumb:

Shred Danson 10-06-2004 09:20 AM

I also love Mercyful Fate. I don't know if you consider them thrash or not but...

Nice, it's a good song. I love teh drumming on that song, and teh rest of South of Heaven as well. My band covers Tormentor and Black Magic, which are fun to play.

LordDargon 10-06-2004 10:05 AM

Cold Blood: We were just talking about possessed.

JMet: Your avatar freaked me out at first :p Who is it? Looks like something to do with Mayhem...

DimebagDarrell 10-06-2004 10:39 AM

LordDargon 10-06-2004 01:34 PM

Ah, I know him. He always does concept albums right?

Anyways I got the first 4 tracks of Schizophrenia to evaluate it, sounds awesome. From The Past Comes The Storms is fu.cking crazy deathrash! I love it! I hadbanged so hard I got a head rush and had to sit down

Yeah, schizophrenia was such an improvement on morbid visions which although contained troops of doom was to be fair just 4 guys thrashing about trying to find their 'sound' but i think schizophrenia was where they achieved what they were looking for. I also liked the fact that they remastered troops of doom with andreas kisser. You say first four tracks so i cant ask you about inquisition symphony but what do you think of escape to the void?
