Thanks dude, ill check it out :thumb:

I don't like when Aghora play heavy. The gentle stuff is nice and abstract, but the heavy stuff stuff is a little too thick.

I like some of the simple things in life, like my coffee machine. It works a treat, and it has blue neons in it.
Umm, well it modulates up a 4ths after the first bar, then back down.
So it's in D natural minor, then in G minor, and back and forth.

And yes, I think it sounds a bit Indian too

Ah yes, I get the "bad" note thing now
You can use the scale thing in GP if you know what scale you're writing with.

Open up the keyboard or gutiar fretboard, and in the top right of it, there should be a little button called "scales"

click on it, choose your scale, and then the notes in that scale will be displayed on the fretboard.

This is what i did in E Harmonic Minor. The Arpeggio's sound Kinda like an Egyptian thing.
I bought this kit earlier this year - upgrading from an old Export kit. It was a huge improvement - I remember quite a few musician friends of mine commenting on the quality of the new kit. The time has come to upgrade again, and whilst I'll be really sorry to see it go, I got a deal on a new kit that was too good to pass up on, and I don't have the space to keep any more drumkits!
Wow, that's really funny.

the_pure_drummer 12-30-2006 11:20 AM

Hows it gan up in here??

fishbulb 12-30-2006 11:42 AM

So i saw this eBay auction for Roland TD-20 electronic drums and they were only $66 with 11 hours left. He has 97.7% positive feedback and a lot of auctions up all ending at the same time. He has 10-15 of the same exact auctions with the same info in the listing. He also has 2 other auctions for the same type of drums, one with DW9000 pedals and another one without any pedals, each having about 10 auctions.

I'm going to watch this and see what happens, anybody know of common scams that have been going on?

Janeway 12-30-2006 12:03 PM

Jesus Christ.

I have never been in more pain than I was this morning. I had cramps so bad that I was stuck awake in the fetal position for nearly 40 minutes. To top that off, I was ****ing constipated. Like, real constipation. I don't know how because I haven't eaten any differently than I normally have been, and I've been drinking a normal amount of water.
It hurt so fucking bad. I only got like 4 hours of sleep before my mother screamed at me to get up, and she's pissed at me but I didn't do anything.

God.

Sync0pation 12-30-2006 12:07 PM

I had two awesome shows yesterday.

Somebody came up to me and said I was the best drummer they'd ever seen! But there probably better drummers there at the show anyways.
Sweet dude. You played with a band, right??
Yeah, first one was at 7PM, the other was at 11:20 PM.

The first one was a lil spontanous, the guitarist called me that afternoon and told me his drummer was sick, so I came over to his house for an hour with my sticks and pad and went over the songs...

At 11:20 my band played, and we kicked ***. Some people thought we were the best band of the night, which is truly a compliment because there were some really great bands out there.

The best part is I got compliments from other drummers...when you get compliments from nondrummers you're thinking "oh they don't anything about drums everyone looks cool to them", but when a drummer compliments you you know you've really played well.

CaptainWaits 12-30-2006 12:33 PM

for sure. What type of music did your band play?

Loser 12-30-2006 01:48 PM

I'd say it's BS. The other Roland he's selling has the exact same description.

On another one of his auctions, his grammar sounded awfully.... terrible, which leads me to believe he's foreign, and stereotypically foreigners are scammers more often than non-foreigners.

fishbulb 12-30-2006 02:07 PM

But if i buy it and i'm not satisfied i can a) send it back whatever i get if he does ship something and get my moneyback or b) if he doesn't do anything i can contact paypal and get my money back.

I'm definitely going to watch it and see what happens.

fishbulb 12-30-2006 02:11 PM

It's actually on eBay canada, but it ships anywhere. Maybe french is his native language?

Ethan. 12-30-2006 02:11 PM

Just wondering, but how many posts in this thread do you guys have? This makes 165 for me

Agreed. And the fact that the guy immediately gives a reason for selling it, just sounds dodgy.

It says the location is California for the item.

wesm9787 12-30-2006 03:02 PM

about the electronic set, that's a very expensive set... there's no way a church is going to spend 2,000 dollars on a drumset, much less spend that much on it and then sell it after using it 5 times... churches never get rid of anything and they never buy anything new... if you've ever seen a church bus you know what i'm talking about... so i believe it's complete crap... and i'm not sure if you can get your money back or not but you wouldn't get the shipping back either way... so if it's 75 to ship it there and 75 to ship it to return it you're going to lose 150 bucks

carlh2003 12-30-2006 03:02 PM

trysthedrummer:

If you've only got one SATA drive then there's no possibility of RAID.
Go into Windows and go:
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Disk Management
In there you should see your SATA drive (providing its plugged in). You can format it, partition it, etc.

Rep me if it works :)

the_pure_drummer 12-30-2006 03:03 PM

Did you know janeway has over 4,000 post in this thread?

I now have about 160 ish?

wesm9787 12-30-2006 03:05 PM

how do you find out how many posts you have?

trysthedrummer 12-30-2006 03:06 PM

Thanks carl. Yeah I went there but its not showing up. Its still plugged in.

I need to get it working again to windows recognizes that its there.

Sorry! I meant:
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> 'Disk Management' down the left pane

Edit: ah ok, well if it's plugged in and Windows has appropriate drivers, it should show. Check your Device Manager (also under Computer Management) and see if Windows recognises the device or not..
