I play guitar. One of my friends plays bass though. We jam sometimes. I love bass though. Led Zeppelin had a very delicate way of putting bass into there songs that I love.

rybass 01-31-2005 10:02 PM

 I mean what kind of guitar do you play?

thunderzstruck 01-31-2005 10:03 PM

Im thinking about returning my spector and getting a used warwick thumb 5 for the same price. Any thoughts?

rybass 01-31-2005 10:21 PM

I LOVE SPECTORS!!!!! What model is it?

Lay_Down_The_Groove 01-31-2005 10:21 PM

Lay_Down_The_Groove 01-31-2005 10:22 PM

janyeno 01-31-2005 10:25 PM

I need a replacement speaker for my combo... its a backline 110... does anyone know of any good companies that sell speakers or woofers or whatever they're called that go in a combo amp...
One day I'm going to own one...or two
Thats the spirit!!!!

I was going to buy a spector a while back, one of the cheaper models that is...... but I bought a telecaster instead...

rybass 01-31-2005 10:29 PM

Yeah I don't like their cheaper bolt-ons. Their neck-thrus are just soo0o0o0o nice

Lay_Down_The_Groove 01-31-2005 10:31 PM

yes they are indeed nice

coddingtown 01-31-2005 10:31 PM

Euro LX neckthrough 4

I am probably keeping it, since I get like this whenever I make a purchase this big.

I do love it, but the things that are annoying me are: the bridge is a PAIN IN THE ***>
the way it is built the saddles fall off whenever I change strings, I dont really see a benefit to it, and I cant get good growl out of it.

Im gonna keep it, but I just have to go through my period of buyers remorse

rybass 01-31-2005 10:33 PM

Well hell....if you don't like the sound and you think the Warwicks got it I'd say go with the warwick. I don't know too much about them though.

cliffburtonrules 01-31-2005 10:33 PM

Quick n00b question:

John Myung used his fingers right?

janyeno 01-31-2005 10:35 PM

yeah he uses his fingers

rybass 01-31-2005 10:35 PM

correct

rybass 01-31-2005 10:36 PM

and he still uses them to this day :)

cliffburtonrules 01-31-2005 10:37 PM

Ok, I was almost POSITIVE when I heard the Dance of Eternity solo. But my neighbor guitar player seemed to think that people went faster with a pick. (WHICH I KNOW IS FALSE) but i just had to be sure.

rybass 01-31-2005 10:40 PM

Yeah, he uses 3 fingas

rybass 01-31-2005 10:41 PM

gahhh!!! braces suck

cliffburtonrules 01-31-2005 10:43 PM
gahhh!!! braces suck
especially when they tighten them *thank God for my retainers*

When they take them off it feels like they're cracking your tooth. :amaze:
