Oh, I bought the Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack (5 Discs!) and it's amazing. I got it used for like $23, great energy and sound quality.

Get studying!

I've decided I'm going to buy a harmonica this weekend. Everyone says to get one in C, but I also really want one in G...so maybe I'll buy two. It seems most of the songs I write and/or play are either in the key of C or G. Although I suppose I use D a lot....and A...and E. Shit.

np: Tangled Up in Blue.

Mine is in G. I want to buy a C next. Jack Bruce was awesome on harmonica for Rollin' and Tumblin' last night.

JonG 10-27-2005 06:14 PM

I need me a harmonica. My dad used to have one.

I've got some albums tonight that I downloaded..

13th Floor Elevators - Easter Everywhere
Burning Spear - Man In The Hills
Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters
George Harrison - Extra Texture(some say his worst album :X)
Jackson Browne - The Pretender
Love - Four Sail
Mr. Bungle - California
Stooges - Raw Power

A little different variety for me. My first Jackson Browne, Mr. Bungle, Burning Spear, Herbie Hancock album :)

magicbus 10-27-2005 06:15 PM

I think I play the most songs in E and A. I'll probalby get an E one to start.

I'm trying to convince my friends to listen to it but they don't like the cover art and don't like the name plus any time we go to a Record store and don't know what to get I repeat over and over again "Mr. Bungle". Good CD.

I'm up for some chattage.

Glitterati 10-27-2005 06:21 PM

I used to mostly play in E and especially A when I considered myself more of a blues guitarist. Now it's mostly G, D, and C.

I do not feel good at all right now. I hope my friends don't show up so I can just lay around tonight. Although I'm making a major breakthrough in my relationship with my hopefully future girlfriend, so I kinda wanna see her tonight. Now I don't know what to do. :(

A owns so hard for blues in E, and G is my favorite for bluegrass. E is nice and high though, if you are going for that Bob Dylan sound

...so which one did you get?

robo2448 10-27-2005 08:17 PM

I kind of taught myself how to play Spoonful on harmonica. Some resemblance. I'm going to have to fool around with it a little more to make it more accurate. Yes I'm going to have to relate pretty much all of my posts for a while to Cream. Sorry guys you'll have to deal with it.

When did/will you go?

I was so psyched when I learned Spoonful, I played it to the recording and realized that it was in the wrong key. All a part of growing up, I guess
