Wow. The new SoaD single is sweet guys. The version is 56K, but Daron does some more technical riffs, him and Serj actually sing in harmony, and John D does some double bassage. I can't picture them playing this on the radio, however.
NP: In Flames- "My Sweet Shadow"

Best song from STYE.

I'm currently having a huge ego trip. I had to do a narrative speech for Public Speaking. The guidelines were to pick a personal anecdote, a folk tale, an original work, or similar story that had an ending lesson or moral, and present with as few notes as possible.

I adapted the lyrics I wrote for a song a year ago into a short story, and presented it to the class with no notes at all. By the time I came to moral message at the end, several of them were sitting on the edges of their seats and two of the girls were leaning forward intently with their lips slightly parted in a look of anticipation. I had the room completely under my control.

God ****, that felt good.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-22-2005 11:20 PM

nice work. I wish i were a decent public speaker.

Jom 03-22-2005 11:20 PM

Not like you don't know what those little stars stand for.

Steerpike 03-22-2005 11:26 PM
did you get the slow clap?
No, it was normal applause. But when the professor stepped up and opened the floor to feedback, they all had very positive things to say.

I didn't even know I had that kind of presence.

Jom 03-22-2005 11:26 PM

I'm procrasturbating from going to bed.

My roommate needs to shut the fuck up, though.
