How do you dangerouskly plug a guitar into an amp =/
yeah, thats why i put safely in single quote marks. 'safely' in this context apparently means checking that you guitar and amp are on low volume so that you dont get a loud popping noise when you plug it in.

Dead Star 09-18-2006 11:54 AM

Oh, I live on the edge hxc.

Screw fixing your EQ everytime.

FVG27 09-18-2006 11:57 AM
How do you dangerouskly plug a guitar into an amp =/
well for a start you have handmade amps that aren't grounded

then you fill the amp with water

and finally, you push by the spring instead of the jack housing

camelfarmer 09-18-2006 12:40 PM

I put a plug in a socket holding it by the metal bits once. Bad idea.

Disturbing, that.

Also, my computer's started being glitchy - and it only started once my brother started using my computer coz his got broke. Well, if he thinks he's using my computer again, he's got another thing coming.

Squirrel 09-18-2006 03:02 PM

And in recent news, Mithras may well have the fastest double kick i've heard.

I hate that, people blame me when the computer screws up, they then blame me (everytime), then i'm the one who has to fix it

GurS 09-18-2006 03:05 PM

A) who's he drum for?

B) I bet he's not as fast per foot as Nicko is :D

Squirrel 09-18-2006 03:06 PM

Who is Nicko.

Mithras is the band name.

I bet Mithras' kicks are faster.

GurS 09-18-2006 03:11 PM

Iron Maiden drummer.

Nicko's known for having the fastest foot in teh world. Sure, Mithras may have more bass drum hits per beat, but that's with two feet. If you took the hits per minute, and halved it to get the speed of one foot, I bet it'd be less than Nicko.

Squirrel 09-18-2006 03:13 PM

Can he maintain it enough to do it per minute, or is it like, 7 a second for one second, multiplied by 60.

People like the Berzerker can clock up over 1000 hits so ..

GurS 09-18-2006 03:15 PM

well, he sometimes goes for a whole passage of a song just single hits, or he might do like a triplet every other second. Check out "where eagles dare" or "the wickerman", but you may need to turn the bass up on WED, coz even though it's probably his best bit of drumming, the drums mixed as well as it has been in recent years so you really gotta listen out for the bass drum.

Squirrel 09-18-2006 03:17 PM

And he clocks in over 1000 ?

Squirrel 09-18-2006 03:18 PM

There's a mithras drumtrack for you.

edit: the mid paced first part is done on one foot.

GurS 09-18-2006 03:21 PM

Actually, fair dos, that's pretty much equal with Nicko. The one foot part's like Nicko, and the faster bit is more or less twice of, say, "the wicker man", so I reckon foot for foot they're probably equal.

Squirrel 09-18-2006 03:22 PM

I know its really really prejudice of me, but from what i've heard of maiden im having a really really hard time comprehending that he's anywhere near as fast as these people.

GurS 09-18-2006 03:26 PM

What tracks you listened to? You gotta remember, he doesn't use a double-kick, he's a one-foot only kinda guy. And he's faster than a lot of guys who use double-kick - not just foot for foot, but his one foot is faster than a lot of people's two feet.
