Chemistry is horrible. I have failed every test in there, but I still have a C because I do a bunch of extra credit things like bringing in kleenex boxes and such.
|
I love math and sciences, except biology. Biology sucks.
I liked science up until the end of my senior year, I had an awesome Bio and Chem teachers in high school. But after that my interest just pulmetted and I really enjoy the social sciences now. Some of the hard sciences still interest me somewhat, but the actual classes, not so much. |
My school is gay, I have to get a "B" in Al II to go to Pre Cal.
|
I loved Chem. I got 99's on the final and midterm for that class.
|

I like Chemistry, its really intresting, abstract, but intresting. I have an A. |
I'm decent at math. I'm in Alg. II. I got an A+ on the last test I took.
*feels special* |
Associate of Arts degree. It's a two year college degree.
Is that what you need to transfer into a University with? |
I'm in geometry. I'm only a freshman though.
|
I've got an A in my chem class. It seems really simple, just some random memorization. The best thing is labs, but we're doing double replacement reactions and it's gotten terribly old watching precipitates form then filtering them out.
I'm in geometry. I'm only a freshman though.
I was in geometrey my freshman year, it was the most exciting class because I had my best friend of all time and the teacher was really lax so we fucked around so much. |
sophmores in algebra II punX unite!!
I could've been a sophmore in Alg II, since I took Alg I in 8th grade. But I didn't pass all my competency tests (I didn't know this until after I was in high school) so they put me in Alg I Freshman year instead of Geometry. I'm glad I retook Alg I though, because it helped it make more sense.
I loved Chem. I got 99's on the final and midterm for that class.
I didn't get awesome test scores, but I got high enough. But I felt I was really understanding the stuff. It was my favourite class of the day because it was the last, it wasn't boring, the teacher was awesome (a Lebonese immigrant always going through culture shock and extreamly intelligent) and all my friends were in that class. That's the one class I miss from high school, and my Government/Econ class. |
too many quotes to reply too:
anxiousmofo- i actually havent taken it yet i have it second semester but my friends say its f.ucking hard. true? people taling about chem. im in that class this year too, my teacher is infamous in my school, for being the hardest teacher ever. i agree because im trying my *** off and im getting a C+, and forest fire we dont have and extra credit. damn |
Is that what you need to transfer into a University with?
You can transfer from a community college to a 4 year without an AA. You can straight to a 4 year univeristy right after high school, so you don't need an AA. I'm just getting an AA because it looks better, and if for some reason I decide not to get my BA (which has crossed my mind a couple of times) |
I'm in geometry. I'm only a freshman though.
Speaking of DaveToopes, I sit next to a kid in AP music theory and his name is Dave and I always think DaveToopes whenever I hear Dave so I just started calling him DaveToopes. He has no idea what's going on.
|
I'm not real good at math or sciences. Unfortunately, I just completely failed my chem. test a couple days ago. English and History have always been my thing. I love History, it's such a good class.

thats actually smart. algebra I is a very important class and you need it to understand like then next 2 years(except geometry) i was also tempted to retake it, but i went to geometry and i still dont under stand a lot of algebra |

Ah. I still have no clue what to do after highschool. I want to go to a University, and I have the grades too, but still. |

History at my high school got progressively worse. All we ever learned about was the f'ucking civil rights movement. Yeah, it was great and such, but there was other important things in history too! |

I was the same way as a junior and senior. I kind of wanted to go to a 4 year, my grades were good enough to get into the ones I wanted (Sonoma or Chico), but I wasn't sure if I really wanted to spent 4 more years in school because I didn't want an actual job, I want to start my own business. I suggest this a lot, because I'm in it, but community college is really the way to go. It's really cheap ($26 per unit, you need 60 units to get an AA in CA), usually close to home, and you can really decide if you like the college lifestyle. |
That's such webcest, unless DaveToopes means soemthing other than the user.
Nope. Definete webcest.
I was pretty ashamed, but davetoopes is just something I see often, and when I hear Dave it's just the first thing that jumps to mind. Just like we've got this daily calendar of old english words, but no one has bothered to change it so godgigoden (abrv. god give you a good evening) has been up since august 11th and I just find myself thinking about it at random moments or just saying it to myself. Just because I see it everyday and even if I don't conciously read it, It's still subconciously entering my brain everyday. It's weird. |

Yeah, I see what you're saying. The Civil Rights movement is cool to learn about, but any topic in history eventually gets boring if you spend too much time on it. My favorite thing to learn about is World War II. |
my civics teacher ( a woman) last year was obsessed with woman's rights. almost everything we talked about she tied it in with some womens rights thing. but she took it too far sometimes. when johnny carson died some kids and i wanted to bring in tapes of his best shows. she would not allow them because they said insulting things about women, even though the ones like that were taped in the 70's

I'm proably going to a 4 year cause I 'm not going to start my own buisness. |

I've always enjoyed World War II stuff and will watch most stuff about it on History Channel. I had a big fat religious black man as my US History teacher. And this was at the height of my anti-religious atheist days, so it was a horrible class for me. I got really pissed at him putting religious messages on the board for this stupid message of the day stuff. I also enjoyed wearing my Bad Religion and DK shirts to class. |
Ok I'm gone now, I'm going to try figuring this **** out again.
|
I'm proably going to a 4 year cause I 'm not going to start my own buisness.
Well even with a regular job, community college is a good cheap starting point. My friend wants to be a translator (I think) and is using DVC as a way to jump start all his languages. |

He came up to me when I was wearing it once and just kind of looked asked what it was, and my friend answered that it was a band, taking away my chance to getting in his face about my opinion. |
Chemistry is a pretty sweet class, we're doing stuff with the ideal gas law and its incredibly easy.

were taking a break from hard stuff and balancing chemical equations. piece o' cake 6.02 x10^23 is a lame number. agree? |
I was never good at math, science, or gym. I usually get straight C's or B's if I'm lucky.
Woody Guthrie is so awesome. |
I used to hate balancing, but when my Chem teacher explained it better, it became really easy. Plus my friends helped me out a lot. Our whole corner was awesome because we would all work together, get the work down, then f'uck around for the rest of the class. And we were quiet about it, unlike the black people on the other side of the room.
