Well, how much would you charge?
Give me a base price and what would be included.

rybass 01-30-2005 11:25 PM

Ok...I'm 18. I used to have an old account on here...I was punk_bass. Don't know if you recognize that or not. I play a Ibanez SR305...

ScorpSath 01-30-2005 11:25 PM

Nice to meet you Ryan.

ScorpSath 01-30-2005 11:26 PM

I love Ibanez man, I had a fender jazz knock off before. Ibanez blows it out of the water.

rybass 01-30-2005 11:27 PM

So what kind of music does your band play?

rybass 01-30-2005 11:28 PM

Yeah...I'm looking to get an Ibanez 4 stringer some time soon.

Haha yeah that was me. I kind of stopped coming here for awhile and I kind of ended my whole punk phase so I changed it.

it truley depoends on the materials. you make an\ll the wood decsions and body shape and pickups. it woulkd probably be like materials + $400 (remeber i dont make these things for a living....yet... :) )

FlamingCouch 01-30-2005 11:44 PM

Ah. Yeah, the other day I was actually wondering where you went to.

I don't think I could ever completely drop punk, I still like pretty much any and all of what I liked since I started listening to music in general.

ScorpSath 01-30-2005 11:46 PM
So what kind of music does your band play?
Pretty hard to give genre too, umm Phsycadellic Rock, Funk, regga.

rybass 01-30-2005 11:46 PM

Well around that time punk was all I listened to. But I got more into funk, jazz, metal and other stuff so I just don't listen to it as much. I still pop some of my old cds ever once in a while.

Nice to see that atleast one person remembers me though

Spaceman Spiff 01-30-2005 11:46 PM

Meh, I haven't made up my mind about any third bass yet.

Well, I'm off to bed.
Later.

rybass 01-30-2005 11:47 PM

hey, s'cool, I've never left and I don't know if anyone remembers me most times. :p

On another note: I nor my friends have ever released this to the main public outside of our hometown, and I think it could become an internet phenom, so here he is, one of my friends: http://www.scottmarcotte.com. Not for the faint of heart, just for major laughs.

rybass 01-30-2005 11:56 PM

My friend Mike (who runs the site) may be updating, as he's been planning on it recently, but it should work, try it again http://www.scottmarcotte.com

Code Red 01-31-2005 12:09 AM

Ok, on natural Minor scales, you lower the 3rd, 6th, and 7th note by one half step from the Major scale.
On Harmonic Minor scales, you only lower the 3rd and 6th, while the 7th note stays where it was in natural minor. Right?
And Melodic Minor is you lower the 3rd, 6th, and 7th while going up, but you go down on the natural minor scale.

Is this right?

(We are doing music theory in Orchestra, and I mostly have the jist of it.
...but I am a little confused, and it is late.)

coddingtown 01-31-2005 12:24 AM

Harmonic minor is

-6--7-----
-5--7--8--
-5--7--8--

Melodic Minor is

-6--7-----
-5--7--9--
-5--7--8--

You got natural minor (Aeolian) right

ToolBox 01-31-2005 12:34 AM

For Harmonic Minor take Aeolian (Natural Minor) and raise the 7th note 1/2 step.

For Melodic Minor Take Aeolian (Natural Minor) and raise the 7th + 6th note 1/2 step.
