|
have you heard the new Upon A Burning Body? and have you heard of Corroosion?? and have you checked out my dig?? oh and Anima's album Enter The Killzone isn't too shabby either with HCTK style vocals, which i really like
|

though UABB is just typical sumeriancore |

Yeah dude The Black Dahlia Murder invented harmonized thirds, and they have mad Behemoth and Hatebreed riffs. |
Forgot about all the slams TBDM has too!!!!
Idiot. KOTA's vocals are usually more varied too, hopefully Harley learns a bit more screams to keep up with Mike and Dustin. Oh also, completely different drumming style, very different guitar tone and song structuring. |
new song sounded p TDBM but shitty to me!
|
You're also deaf though~*~*~*

I <3 SUMERIANCORE, BITC HES!....
minus BOO. |
Most of it sucks.
|
its pretty terrible
|
Veil Of Maya & The Faceless have some good tracks
BOO's first album was good, other than that it's meh |
vom, the faceless and stray from the path are the only decent sumerian bands imo. after the burial is tolerable but they get old.
boo has 2 cool parts on the old album, but that's really it. |
I forgot about ATB, I agree
I just like the stop/starts and they killed it live when I saw them |
killed it in a good way or bad way? they were awesome when i first saw them, but the second time wasn't that great.
|
good way. Everything was spot on
|
yeah ATB is pretty sick live, looking forward to their new album. I thought the reissue of Rareform was damn good. Certainly better than anything BOO's done, lol
VOM never really blew me away, but they're all right I suppose. Faceless is sweet. So's Periphery. meh sumerian |
my only real complaint is Keene takes all human emotion out of the music
|
haha he is a robot, that's for sure.
|
I mean I understand how an ekit can make the drums stand out and such, but ffs I don't want to listen to a robot. You can make clear production without ruining it
|
yeah, when I talked to him after his show a few months back we got to talking about BOO, didn't know he did the production for The New Reign but
but I should've guessed lol, that's some overly-airtight production |
he has done literally every Sumerian record. The label is fairly new, the drums on Akeldama were pretty sweet tho. Not overly processed
|
yeah, it sounds very robotic but it works for some of the bands. like Veil of Maya. I know the drums were massively loud on CMC, but I enjoyed it.
|
I agree, the production on CMC works extremely well with VOM's sound.
Plus, Brandon's lows are just holy ****, great vocal production there, they really caught the rattle on those recordings. |
His vocals were definitely better on that album :/ [id] kinda loses its punch after 10 listens.
|
never had a punch to start with
