Only thing is I love the look of exposed pole piece MM pickups :O
Then get him to put a clear epoxy over it or file the pole pieces flush.

That's a lot of lights for a single rack.

mfb 09-08-2009 09:38 PM

yeah thats when you know you've really wasted your money :p

Aaron 09-08-2009 11:43 PM

Pro-Tools 8 or Logic Pro 9?

Sablate McNuff 09-09-2009 01:21 AM

Pro-Tools

w00t! Bass sold on eBay for $520. That pays for my Spector 6 AND the pickup installation on the Schecter! sweet!

Convectuoso 09-09-2009 01:22 AM

Logic.

The new one looks sick.

Plus if you don't already have an mbox or the like, you'll need to buy one.

lolbanned

fatbandit 09-09-2009 01:25 AM

Haha, it's pedals, not a rack.

Convectuoso 09-09-2009 01:27 AM

I thought it was a Tool light show.

fatbandit 09-09-2009 01:39 AM

And yeah, it is a waste of money. Everything in this hobby is ;) All hobbies are! And it isn't as much of a waste in the long run as drinking or smoking or whatever. Which I don't do. So... yeah :)

Convectuoso 09-09-2009 02:05 AM

On ya with that one dude.

Pedal boards are an awesome thing to be addicted too. Even if you don't use a pedal even 95% of the time, there's still the option of having it.

In other news, after years of being stubborn and buying cheap, no-name mp3 players of places like ebay...I've finally sold out and bought a 120gb iPod classic(the only iPod worth having imo).

In before Raayl calls me out for buying overpriced trendy garbage.

Mr. Pickle 09-09-2009 02:55 AM

I got a refurbed (from the Apple site) 160gb classic, and I am more than satisfied.

Sablate McNuff 09-09-2009 08:09 AM

I still rock my 80GB Zune.

But when your uncle works for MicroSoft's marketing company, you tend to get MS products cheap and you never really care to complain.

gaslight 09-09-2009 09:20 AM

I'm still disappointed that Creative bowed out of the large capacity MP3 player game.

BenJammin 09-09-2009 09:29 AM

Yeah. I used to have a Zen that I really liked.

gaslight 09-09-2009 09:30 AM

I've got a 60GB Zen that I still love to pieces. Should it ever bite the dust I'll probably get an X-Fi 2 and just stick in the biggest micro SD memory card I can find.

I figure I've got a 1TB external hard drive to store music on so it wouldn't be the end of the world to have to exercise a bit of discipline in what music I carried around with me.

FunkMetalBass 09-09-2009 09:31 AM
I'm still disappointed that Creative bowed out of the large capacity MP3 player game.
Yeah, that surprised me too. Their Zen competed quite well against the iPod before Zune hit the scene, and, especially with the first generation Zune, they didn't take a hit at all. Maybe they saw that they couldn't compete with the MS/Apple OS, the MS/Apple marketing, or the MS/Apple name, and they pulled out before they went under.

gaslight 09-09-2009 09:34 AM

It's a shame whatever the reason was because their audio quality is the absolute best in the MP3 player business.

Mine has been through the wars, I've full on stepped on it ages back and the screen is ruined for video watching purposes (it's the Zen Vision:M to be specific) but I never really wanted it for videos so I just put up with it.

If it ain't broke don't touch yo wallet.

Well, my Aria sold for $520+s/h. I couldn't even sell it for $425 shipped on TB or locally.

New Spector comes in today and my Aria leaves tomorrow (and I come out $51 ahead! sweet!).

Now I just need to write up the eBay ad for the Carvin and get that beast going as well.

EDIT: I have no idea why I quoted you on that. I think it was an accident.

Efrim 09-09-2009 10:44 AM

**** yeah, new wheels for my bike.

FunkMetalBass 09-09-2009 10:47 AM
**** yeah, new wheels for my bike.
Sweet.

I forget, what bike do you have?
Sweet.

A frankenstein road bike.
I currently have an all black Raleigh road frame, Sram Courier crankset, Easton alloy drop handlebars and a Shimano Acera rear derailleur. The wheels are Ambrosio Excellence rims, a Dura Ace hub in the front and a Shimano Ultegra hub in the rear. I've ordered Shimano 105 brakes, which should be here on Monday.

have you checked craigslist yet?

BenJammin 09-09-2009 11:46 AM
have you checked craigslist yet?
Fredericton doesn't have a Craigslist. I've checked Kijiji, but most of it is either senior care, child care, or people going "I HAVE A GREAT RESUME PLZ HYRE MEEE!!1!"

I looked in both the Federal and Provincial job banks, as well, but nothing that I'm qualified for.

My family friend just got fired from that job. I don't know where she's supposed to turn now.

well damn. maybe retail until you find something better?

or bartend.
well damn. maybe retail until you find something better?

I don't really want to work unreasonable hours (i.e. not past midnight if I can help it, preferably closer to 9 or 10), so bartending is particularly appealing.

I'm trying to hold off on retail, but it might come to that.

Another agency?

There's like half a dozen within two minutes of each other in our city centre, and loads more besides.

Spaceman Spiff 09-09-2009 04:41 PM

Sablate McNuff 09-09-2009 07:14 PM

New Spector Legend 6 in today. Feels great, balances really well, and the action is great.

Now I just need to give it a re-finish to really let that bubinga shine through.

EDIT: I wish my finger wasn't still broken. It's gonna be months before it'll be fully healed and my playing is back where it needs to be.
