Brave New World |
Number Of The Beast and Killers
|
Definately number of the beast, and if you want you can get 7th son of a 7th son... (I havn't heard all of Iron Maidens albums... :()
|
the thing is almost any maiden albums could be recommended, there are 13 studio albums, then 10 live albums / best of's etc.
|
i dont no why it is but i dont like 7th son of a 7th son aswell as other albums. its a good one but dont see what was so special about it?
|
i suppose its because its all along the same sort of theme, almost (but not quite) a concept album. also, adrian smith wrote most of it himself.
personally its not one of my favourite studio albums, those being brave new world, the self-titled and powerslave (at least at the moment, it changes fairly often) |

One of my favourite maiden albums. Haven't listened to much maiden recently apart from seventh son and killers. |
SSOASS is my favorite of theirs, but oddly I think I listen to it the least.
|
Having listened to all of my Maiden albums the one album that is special to me is Somewhere In Time. Yes. That is their best album.....and nobody may think differently. Ever.
Too bad it's the only album they do nothing live on... And before the neg rep flows in, I was joking about the whole nobody may think differently bit... |
Somewhere in time is easily my most least listened to Maiden album I own.
|
Somewhere in time is easily my most least listened to Maiden album I own.
So, which is it? |
most least, as in, the one I listen to the least amount.
|
SiT and SSOASS are easily my favourites...I listen to them loads :thumb:
|
In my next post I will have 1500 posts.
|
I now have 1500 posts
*pointless double post. |

Number of the Beast is a great start. If you want to not have any of the fun and get a best of, make it Edward the Great.

Thanks to heavyriva and sack man for the rep. I'm nearly on 900 now. Gotta spread more rep before giving back to sack man though. |

you'll probably like pretty much any album, but go with "best of the beast" or anything else recommended. |

I found out yesterday my art teacher saw Iron maiden when they did some of their secret gigs under the name of "Charlotte and The Harlots". He said Steve was all over the place and playing bum notes. I said he was lieing, but when he explained to me how pissed Steve and everyone else in the band was, it made more sense.
Cheers for rep Mathias, 15 more to go.... |
Heh, I have school off this week anyway. Would've had a snow day Monday though.
|
Adrians guitars from the same album...
Lado Earth 2003 Lado Earth 2001 (I have on of these!!!)
The models are actually named Earth 2000, 2000-1, 2000-2, and 2000-3, whith each being a slight variation on the base 2000 model. I own Lado Earth 2000-3 #1. The next 3 or 4 2000-3 models Joe Kovacic (Lado owner) built went to Adrian Smith. http://www.sadbuttrue-band.com/info/CrunchmeisterBigPics.asp#Lado It's a little beat up (cosmetically) after 20+ years of heavy use and gigging, but it's structurally sound other than some fret wear, and is still plays like a dream and sounds awesome. It's without a doubt the best electric guitar I have ever laid hands on. Lado guitars rule. |
awsome guitar

The Lado Earth on the LAD video is my favourite guitar of all time, though H's LP from the Wicker Man video is great too.
