K dude you have to tell me when the Speed Kill Hate album comes in for you, I gotta know what it's like Also... ...Would you guys say Death Angel's "Art of Dyin" is a worthy album to get?? |
I have only heard on track, which is very good, but the reviews ive read seem to indicate it isnt all thrash.
|
MX has a new review site?
Anyways, here's my review of Dekapitator's "We Will Destroy...You Will Obey!" http://www.musicianforums.com/sputnik/album.php?albumid=1520
Good review man. Yet another band which I keep meaning to get into :) |
Dekapitator rule you must get We Will Destroy...
On another note, i just got a hold of the Heathen demos with Paul Baloff on vocals, and it is fuc.king awesome |
You guys can all post in the new review section by clicking on the little plus sign in the bottom-right corner of RCA's review. Since I appear to have the lone comment.
NP: Sadus - Twisted Face |
Does any one here have any rare CD's/LP's or signed stuff by thrash bands? I don't really have any hard to find CD's apart from Holy Terror. What about you guys?
|
I don't have anything rare, but I have my South of Heaven cd signed by Kerry King.
|
Ebay I'm guessing?
|
Ebay I'm guessing?
If that was directed at me, no. I went to Ozzfest 2004 and bought the cd so I could get it signed. |

I've got a Fabulous Disaster vinyl signed by Gary and Rick, Metal Church's self-titled debut CD signed by Kirk Arrington, and a Peace Sells CD signed by Chris Poland. |
Oh, ok.
|
All I have is one of Vinnie Paul's sicks from a Damageplan concert a while back, but there not even thrash
|
and not only are they not thrash, they sucked **** too.
|
Yeh but w/e, Pantera was probably my major influence in music, so it was a chance to see Vinnie and Dime, so I went
But I do agree with you that Damageplan is pathetic |
I'm shocked that I never got into Re-Animator, being an Englishman. So anybody that haven't heard of 'em, check out their stuff and especially Condemned to Eternity. Tis some good stuff!
|
Plus! again with my double posts...
I think the latest Exodus album is excellent due to the drumming in it. It'd be good aside from that, but the drumming just makes it killer. |
indeed it does, more original than most thrash, ie. not just meatbeats the whole time on the fast songs.

I hate that term. Why don't you just edit Thrashmaster? You drunk? |
Ummm had 5 longnecks of Melbourne Bitter, so I guess I ain't on the bright side. I just figure things too late and can't be bothered editing. Anyway, shut up and listen to Re-Animator :p

NP: Certain Death - Sadus |
Good tune. Haven't heard much else by them though. What would you recommend as their best album?
NP: Sepultura - Beneath the Remains |
Search for "Chemical Exposure" in this thread. Someone posted a link to that entire album recently. It is great.
|
I only have Illusions/Chemical Exposure, which ive heard is thier best, and yes someone posted a link to the entire album a couple of pages back.
EDIT: Heres the link http://nuclearwinter.bestmusicpages.com/ |
Hasn't anyone got some rare(ish) thrash CD's then?
Has anyone here used Ebay to get CD's before? |
I do constantly, I like Amazon better though(takes less time)
|
Amazons good for CDs, they always seem to have some deal on something. I got Iron Maiden and Megadeth for £5 a CD brand new from there. Didnt take too long for delivery either.
|

Has anyone here used Ebay to get CD's before?
I've used eBay, and everything went well on the delivery and payment part. I usually just order albums from record labels though. Still no Acts of Insanity yet. |
w00t. clans roxor. anyways, i've been into stuff like old metallica and iron maiden, but recently my buddy sent me some megadeath. it's safe to say i've been missing out of so many great songs. dave mustaine is a riff-writing machine!
is NOTB taken in titles? |

is NOTB taken in titles?
Number of the Beast is a good album, containing the Greatest Heavy Fu.cking Metal Song Ever Written, (HBtN) but it is not thrash so you can't use it. And it doesn't matter if an album is "taken" more than one person can have a title. |

Any S.O.D. fans here. There stuff is pretty simple and lacking solos but I think their great.

Yeh I like Stormtroppers, I like their comdey thrash theme I thought "Bigger than the Devil" was great They're a lot like M.O.D too, just S.O.D is better |
Yeah, I have Speak English or Die. That Billy Milano is quite a charactor. My favorite song is probably Seargent D and the S.O.D or Speak English or Die, or the Anti-Procrastination song.

I thought "Bigger than the Devil" was great They're a lot like M.O.D too, just S.O.D is better
The reason M.O.D. sounded similar is because that was Billy Milano's band after S.O.D. I like some S.O.D. songs (especially March of the S.O.D.), but their albums had too much filler material. NP: Bathory - Pace Til' Death \m/ |
Well, I can go through listening to the entire thing probably because its so short.
Np: Kreator-Your user title |
SOD are cool... well, Speak English or Die was good anyways.
