the only problem with this is that smoking will become an enourmous underground activity. I reckon that in time people will realise that if your doing illegal things then there are much more amusing and hallucinogenic things to do than smoking tobacco and getting lung cancer. my first period class this year the teacher was like oh so i saw you smoking a ciggerette outside, to some kid next to me, and the kids like naw that be them trees.

the teachers cool as hell though, shes been to 3 pink floyd concerts. so i know shes experimented, or at least been around them. haha

thats a fairly accurate summation.

i guess its fun to argue a point that has little to no backing, that is based on a personal decision made by a relative that probably lived past his 60s anyway.

It's an incredibly delicate issue to be honest. I mean, on one hand there is the fact that smokers and obese people have *kind of* done it to themselves, so why should my hard earned money be taken away to help them out of thier own mess. But then on the other hand they would be in incredibly ill health (or dead) without the money I give to the NHS.


The conclusion I've come to is that I'll pay the taxes in the knowledge that this is where some of my money is going. I won't be incredibly happy about it, but I won't start writing letters into the Guardian* about it.

I worked out recently that in the 70's my parents were the same age as the guys in the 70's show.



I know they've done pot before, which is why they're totally cool about me and my sister doing it.

that is all opinion for the most part though.

unhealthy, yes.
costs lots of money, not if they want it. some people use smoking to help them relax and keep their mind off stuff, just like some of us use music/guitar.
a cd, costs 3 packs of ciggerettes generally.
alot of women isnt true, because a majority of my friends that are women smoke.
some people enjoy the smell of ciggerettes, there are some that i don't mind the smell of, but i myself dont smoke.
opens you up to a whole bunch of diseases, i guess. but you can get a disease from anything almost.

i dont smoke, but my dads fine with me hanging out with smokers.
my moms all paranoid though.
