u know metallica has instrumental songs on their first 4 albums( i say four because "To live is to Die" is practically instrumental until he starts talkin like 8 minutes into the song for 15 sec)....but fine i'll say 3. i just sorta wish they kept that up that would be kinda kewl....'sept on st anger, that would be a bunch of noise.

Props to you as I respect your opinion, but I think that's when they went commercial and lost much of their allure. That's when mainstreamers went in and bought their stuff. I'm not one that bolts when bands go towards mainstream, cuz sometimes the music is really good, but I just think Metallica is at their best when the're heavy.

What is this "blackest album" I've heard of and I also heard that the 'tallica boys put out cd(s?) on HDCD or w/e. Is this true?

You know whats funny as hell? I went to a linkin park concert, and stupid story of the year was opening. Story of the year actually did a cover of Metallica"s Enter sandman. James has a deep voice. The dude from story of the year has a girly-like voice. It was one of the funniest things i've ever seen.

I think theres volumes I, II & III of The Blackest Album. Its just a heap of bands of extremely varied styles to Tallica covering their songs. I've only heard one, it was so-so. I've been warned to steer clear of the others, but I'll prolly check em out anyway.

The black album is the nickname given to Metallica's self titled 1991 release. It was dubbed 'the black album' because of the black cover.

The Blackest Album was a tribute album done by a bunch of different bands. I think it was all industrial-type stuff.

man i could keep going on and on, but i GUESS those are my favorites, but i know i have more that i really really like, just to lazy to wright'em

fight fire with fire.... theres just something odd about that intro. its like the calm before the storm, its so happy and positive, then it brings in one of the best riffs metallica has.
