A new driver is pretty much as good a driver as a slightly intoxicated veteran driver in my book.

I wasn't making fun of anything, I was pointing out how utterly void of intelligence the whole scenario is.

At the time it was a life flash before your eyes type scenario, but eh these things happen I suppose, it was just a very unlucky set of circumstances.

To clarify though, the area we were driving in wasn't busy w/ traffic, below us however was, I was sober as was the driver, and even my two other bros only had a few glasses of wine with a meal and a few pints of lager afterwards, by no means drunk.

He's a competent driver, just shit it was unlucky that the road was oily and wet and he was driving a few mph over the speed limit.

I've gotten in one crash where I should have died but it wasn't my (mom's) fault.

I was in middle school coming home from school with my sister and brother. My mom was driving, I look up and theres a construction truck about to meet us head on. If my mom didn't swerve we would have gotten killed.
