aeroplane is easy. and very similar to higher ground

lowsound
I'm talking about the little solo section at the end of the song. Not the slapping stuff.

Spaceman Spiff 01-30-2005 09:30 PM

How's your fingerstyle?
Try your luck at some Jaco.
I suggest: Amerika, Opus Pocus, and Chromatic Fantasy if you really want a challenge.

Lay_Down_The_Groove 01-30-2005 09:31 PM

try the solo in nature boy- primus it isn't that hard but sounds cool

rybass 01-30-2005 09:32 PM

My fingerstyle could use some work. I tried Chromatic Fantasy at one point and could do some of it. That was awhile ago though. I'll mess around with it again.

thelowsoundofbass 01-30-2005 09:33 PM

just try playing tommy the cat by primus, it sounds cool just by its self, tho it isn't a solo

rybass 01-30-2005 09:35 PM

Lay_Down_The_Groove 01-30-2005 09:36 PM

Tommy The Cat?

e p 01-30-2005 09:38 PM
I'm not that great at slapping.

But I know of all the common solos and stuff. I've already attempted most of them.
learn tommy the cat

take it slow and piece it together ...first nail that flemenco ---9--- and --9 -9--
---9--- --9--9

just for the rhythym/time.

then work on the f to g hammer on on the d

then add some slaps and pops here and there and presto

bottlerocket 01-30-2005 09:39 PM

Is it me, or does the tab on MX sound nothing like TTC? Maybe I'm playing it wrong?

|---------------10-12-14------------13-12-10-------------------------8-10-12-------0-(0)--|
Gimme that tab you were talking about.
sorry but most of the tabs sound incorrect

the main thing you need is the B/E diad stop thingy and the hammer on with--i add my own stuff

thats whats great about the song--so much room for experimenting.

rybass 01-30-2005 09:53 PM

23,000 is a lot

thelowsoundofbass 01-30-2005 09:55 PM

yes it is, ill have that many sometime. maybe unless i get perma baned, but i doubt that will happen

lowsound

rybass 01-30-2005 09:59 PM

I got banned for a couple of days when I first made this account. I don't know why though. I thought it was because this was my 2nd account and that wasn't allowed but I guess they wouldn't of unbanned me if that was the case.

thelowsoundofbass 01-30-2005 10:02 PM

i have never been banned, i am a good little boy. mostly
