my friends decide we couldn't go without looking like total tools. I somehow got the really gay outfit while my friend gets away with wearing a basketball jersey with a suit jacket over it

I was pedaling on my fixed-gear bike on the way to the nearby Urban Outfitters to get a new size XS T-shirt. Since I was smoking a Parliament with my left hand, I ended up running into a speed bump in the road. My skinny jeans caught on the pedal and I skidded to a halt, instantly overturning my bike. My week-old stubble was the first to graze the concrete block. And then the contents of my messenger bag (which I got at a surplus store) spilled out: first was my Starbucks mug, and then my iPod (I won’t tell you what was playing on it, I pride myself on being among the band’s 12 listeners on Last.fm), and then finally my unopened Pabst can. My LGBT studies notes were strewn all over the sidewalk. The only item to NOT fall out, was, ironically, my MacBook Air. When I looked at it there was a tiny crack on the side; I can’t believe I’m going to have to call my parents and demand they pay for its repair.
