I got Otherside's result...too bad it says I'm a "non-believer"...probably because I don't go to church. The Allen Mandelbaum translation is widely reputed to be the best that's for sale, in terms of ease of understanding while preserving the poem close to its intended translation. It comes in Italian as well as English too, with very extensive notes on the various Cantos (chapters) in the poem and great illustrations by this guy name Barry Moser.

I'd reccommend that one. :thumb:

Good. And Jesus CAN bail you out: the gate to Hell stands before Limbo, but its actual gate was broken down when Jesus went to Hell after being crucified. The demons tried to block his entry, but Jesus rules and broke the gate down and sent the demons scurrying. He entered Limbo and redeemed the people like Adam and Eve and sent them going to Heaven. So the demons built a wall around Dis instead of rebuilding the gate, and that's where they tried to stop Dante and Virgil in my picture.
