Yeah, I liked Pollyanna.

It's hard to tell what some bands will be like when I download them from you, most of the things I've downloaded randomly have been hardcore/metalcore/screamo.

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:07 PM

Haha, I do that all the time.

I was listening to a band called Rise Over Run today. I expected them to be pop-punk (not sure why), but they turned out to be kind of hardcore-ish.

B 12-21-2005 08:08 PM

I have a hard time finding new bands unless I just download randomly off of someone I know.

I've found some good ones on PV but they usually don;t even have an album or EP out yet.

I'm out for the night though. Later.

BridgeToSolace 12-21-2005 08:10 PM
Awwwww. I'm sorry to hear that. But give it some time, something tells me he might change his mind. ;)

Brian: In Pieces- Lions Write History + 1 Track

There you go. I reccomend anyone who likes Glassjaw, Hopesfall, Trophy Scars, Marigold, On The Might Of Princes, etc. download this.
Their new stuff is kinda lame.

Their Ep and first album are tits, though.

Brian, ROR is good. I'll get you their stuff later. (I've got Reclaim And Conquer)

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:10 PM

I randomly download off of anyone who appears to have a similar taste in music to me.

Sometimes if I find someone who listens to some bands I like, I'll download an album off them because I like the name of the band, or I think the name sounds familiar.

That's how I found Catch 22. I didn't even listen to ska at the time either.
Brian, ROR is good. I'll get you their stuff later.
Do they have more than one album?

BridgeToSolace 12-21-2005 08:12 PM

I have no clue. That's what I have, though. (Reclaim And Conquer)

Random downloading rules.

ZaaR 12-21-2005 08:12 PM

I only download what is recomended to me, or if I'm just finding out about a new genre, I'll download a couple of bands with cool names.

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:13 PM

Ah, I didn't notice your edit. I have that album too.

billiejoe84 12-21-2005 08:20 PM

How I love random drink pouring. I just staggered downstairs, with the drunkenness hitting me all of a sudden, and slopped a random amount of Gordon's into my glass, followed by a random amount of tonic. The result seems to be pleasantly intoxicating, and likely to lead to passing out in the near future.

And to think, my dad is coming to pick me up and take me back to Sunderland tomorrow morning. And I'm not packed at all yet. Hands up, who's glad they aren't me?

 Crazy Canadians. Trying to stick up for themselves now...

I actually think it would be cool to live in Canada for a while. It can't be worse then the US.

cbmartinez 12-21-2005 08:27 PM

Jon, you'll have to send me How To Make A Human Heart sometime (the In Pieces EP). If you would ever respond on AIM.

ZaaR 12-21-2005 08:28 PM

That thread was started by this little wiener from my old school. He knows nothing about anything. He thinks he's a hardcore stoner now because he smokes once a week, but has never been high (according to my friend). All of his political statements are based upon what he has heard in Protest the Hero songs, and has had his underwear ripped about 4 times.

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:29 PM

Haha, he seemed like a bit of an idiot. He's not the kind of guy you want sticking up for your country.

I posted in there and then realized everyone who had posted has less than 1000 posts.

ZaaR 12-21-2005 08:31 PM

I remember when someone stole his shirt right off his back in grade 5 and was running around the school yard for 10 minutes with it.

<3 Canada

For real. But it's fun to make fun of you guys once in a while. Kind of like I enjoy bashing Florida.

Pazz 12-21-2005 08:34 PM

I like the states, too. I would love to go to universtiy down there, but I won't be able to afford it.

Me and Brandon have plans to go on a trip through the states.

Haha, I wanna meet that kid. Sounds like the sort of guy I'd bully mercilessly. Especially as he thinks he's a stoner and isn't. That sort of guy is so insidiously easy to rip on, coz you just give them a joint and then make up loads of stoner terms, and watch them agree enthusiastically with all of them in an effort to look cool. And then you tell them, when they are high and vulnerable, that they are full of shit. Cruel as it may sound, it has worked for me on more than one occasion.

So you're not going to live in an apartment with Scott, Emin, Ian, and I? :(

Come to Buffalo. We have a surprisingly awesome music scene considering most of the city sucks. :p

Guess not.:(

Brian: Maybe we will make a pit stop in Buffalo, it's the quickest way into the states.:p

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:43 PM

It probably is. You guys live near Toronto, right?

Pazz 12-21-2005 08:44 PM

Yep, 45 minutes away from it.

ZaaR 12-21-2005 08:44 PM

He lives in a tiny town with a Zoo that consists of a dog and a duck. I live in Toronto.

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:45 PM

I was in Toronto a couple times for field trips. All I remember was that there were a number of homeless people.

There was this one really tall pointy building, too. It was awesome.

As for the bums, there are a lot of them. Zack was brought up by one.:chug:

Funny guy, eh?

Ostrich Man 12-21-2005 08:53 PM

I'm going to Canada in 4 DAYS for 3 weeks of snowboarding :D

Any tips on avoiding bums?

Pazz 12-21-2005 08:53 PM

I drove to Florida. So any state on the way there, I have been through. I remember going through Buffalo and all it was, was flat dirty land. Long time ago.

I also went out to Western Canada, but we went through the states and I remember going to North Dakota and seeing the heads in the mountains...Mount Rushmore, that's it.

Jono: Where in Canada?

Mute Print 12-21-2005 08:54 PM
I drove to Florida. So any state on the way there, I have been through. I remember going through Buffalo and all it was, was flat dirty land. Long time ago.
The city of Buffalo is pretty gross for the most part. I live in the suburbs. It's a lot nicer.

Ostrich Man 12-21-2005 08:56 PM

We're landing in Vancouver, looking around for a couple of days, then driving to Silver Star Resort in BC, spending a week there, driving around some more, before spending another week snowboarding at Big White.

Pazz 12-21-2005 08:57 PM
The city of Buffalo is pretty gross for the most part. I live in the suburbs. It's a lot nicer.
Toronto's pretty dirty. But, where I live is pretty clean. We only have 3 bums in my town. One of them smokes and sits on a bench infront of the bank. The other sits infront of a different bank and plays his acoustic guitar(Brandon tips him) and there's this other bum and I'm not sure whether or not it's a male or female. Could be both, who knows.

Jono: Warning, Vancouver has lots of bums and druggies.

billiejoe84 12-21-2005 08:57 PM

So, when I get my fortune together (one day...), where in America/Canada should I go?

Pazz 12-21-2005 08:59 PM
So, when I get my fortune together (one day...), where in America/Canada should I go?
All over. There is too many places to go, you wouldn't imagine. But, you will want to come to Canada, the beer is stronger up here.
