reel big fish

RetiredAt21 07-06-2005 07:24 PM

Oooooooh. Eh, I don't care for them all that much. Decent enough though.

TheNowhereman42 07-06-2005 07:25 PM

Speaking of RBF, is the new cd any good? I heard its decent and alot better than Cheer Up, I was supposed to go to the release party/show but missed it.

Jessizzle 07-06-2005 07:26 PM

I dont know, but my friend just gave me turn the radio off, And I love it.

TheNowhereman42 07-06-2005 07:28 PM

If you don't have it you MUST buy Why Do They Rock So Hard?

It seriusly blows all the other albums out of the water....exception maby being Favorite Noise, but thats a greatist hits cd.

sketchyjoe 07-06-2005 07:29 PM

WDTRSH is a pretty good album and definitely their best.

Jessizzle 07-06-2005 07:29 PM

I plan on buying more RBF, i was never into them till this week, Everyone who dosnt like them, go listen to them again, trust me.

TheNowhereman42 07-06-2005 07:30 PM

Thats the album that got me into ska, after I found a Trigun video for Somebody Hates Me on Kazaa.

Jessizzle 07-06-2005 07:49 PM

Forest_Fire 07-06-2005 07:57 PM

I remember listening to RBF and hating them. Maybe I'd like them better now. Recommended songs?
Ska always cheers me up. When I'm feeling down, I always listen to some Choking Victim. :)
really? their lyrical content isn't exactly happy-go-lucky.

but i do agree, on the other hand, that ska (and for me, pop-punk like the 'souls and stuff) does have a nice uppity quality in the sound.

RetiredAt21 07-06-2005 08:01 PM

It's not really the lyrics that cheer me up, it's the music itself. The song "In My Grave" always cheers me up.

Forest_Fire 07-06-2005 08:02 PM

I'd have to agree. Choking Victim never fails to cheer me up either. I thought about starting a cover band for a halloween show, but no one around here knows who they are other than my friends that I showed them to.

Have you heard their last record "anchours aweigh?" Whats up with the ending it's like 5 minutes of a crackling fire.
