Robert Crumb 04-11-2007 10:17 PM

When you put down that book, Vonnegut's heart exploded. :(

Robert Crumb 04-11-2007 10:18 PM

Actually he was probably already dead by that point, but it made it really messy for the coroner.

Little Man being Erased 04-11-2007 10:30 PM

Don't guilt trip me motherfucker.

Montana 04-11-2007 10:42 PM

It's like: mizoolah

Robert Crumb 04-11-2007 10:45 PM

I'm gonna try to convince people I'm from Missoula for the rest of the week. What's one detail about Missoula that only a native Missoulian would know?

bleep_bloop 04-11-2007 10:46 PM

Jacaranda 04-11-2007 10:48 PM

Um, there is some old guy who stands outside of the Army Surplus store evryday in the summertime sharpening knives for people.

No, Jacaranda, I don't really talk about mx to anyone in real life.

Robert Crumb 04-11-2007 10:57 PM

With this new found knowledge, I set out on my new life as the son of a farmer from Missoula. Sweet dreams, jerks!

Jacaranda 04-11-2007 11:09 PM
Um, there is some old guy who stands outside of the Army Surplus store evryday in the summertime sharpening knives for people.
Do you know what bands will playing?

I like going to shows here. Actually, I have seen some good stuff in this town, though most has been 18 or 21 and up. Two of the best shows I saw were at The Loft. Pigeon John several months ago and Glenn Kotche just a little while back.

I'm definitely gonna go see Elf Power and Cloud Cult next week.

Ya I miss all the good concerts that are at the Otherside/any other place because of 18+ shows. gay. meh.
It's going to be local bands and Amnesty International is calling it Jamnesty but I'm really whoring it out because my girlfriend is putting it on. :/

Its going to be mostly high school bands from hellgate like the Freewood Blues Band (who are great), Riddlin Que but I think maybe Volumen and Oblio Joes.

bleep_bloop 04-12-2007 10:33 PM

ugh botch is so good.

perriwinkle 04-12-2007 11:40 PM

AlienEater 04-13-2007 05:44 AM

sgrevs 04-13-2007 07:35 AM

i've listened to We Are The Romans a few times now, and its definitely good, but it's nothing spectacular. its enjoyable, but i'd prefer DEP for something crazy like that.

Otherside 04-13-2007 08:14 AM

just ordered wilco tickets :D

Doctor D. 04-13-2007 10:16 AM

I'm gonna see The Flaming Lips tonight.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!

YDload 04-13-2007 06:05 PM

i caught the very end of a movie on comedy central and they were playing the pixies' "isla de encanta" right before the credits

i read some of the names in the credits and googled it and the movie was "married to the mob"

so yeah, ANOTHER movie with a pixies song at the end, but this was a decade before fight club.

Of those I've only seen the Oblio Joes before. Sounds cool though, the Raven (or Dauphine's) is pretty nice, except they don't always serve alcohol.

Eliminator 04-13-2007 10:29 PM

my friends call me ralph

i drew pictures oday they're nice. but they suck

i'm kind of in love with John (bassist) from Oblio Joes because he owns Ear Candy and is just one of my favorite people.
I doubt there would be alcohol but hey! its for darfur and if you don't come you are basically helping genocide.

Little Man being Erased 04-14-2007 02:38 AM

So I just saw 300. It was more amazing than I thought it would be.

sgrevs 04-14-2007 03:32 AM

lies.

it was only good because it was so ridiculous and gory. the slow motion shots when people were stabbed were awesome.

Hedgedive 04-14-2007 06:14 AM

So I got Morrissey tickets ^_^

and now I have defensive driving in a half hour :/

I have Smith albums but I need solo Morrissey albums :/

Sepstrup 04-14-2007 06:34 AM

Buy You Are The Quarry. The new album isn't worth getting, though, other than to know the songs he plays. He's awesome live, though, you should look forward. He doesn't play much by The Smiths though.

Thanks 04-14-2007 09:23 AM

I actually dreamt I saw 300 last night. Strange.

asdf 04-14-2007 11:27 AM

I had a dream that seemed to have the theme of really wanting a cigarette. There was lots of characters changing and strange time travel. It was a strange dream, because I've never craved a cigarette.

sweboy 04-14-2007 11:43 AM

Someone is slipping nicotine pills into your food.

asdf 04-14-2007 12:13 PM
Someone is slipping nicotine pills into your food.
That must be it.

JuggerKnoT 04-14-2007 12:23 PM

wow that is crazy rory

Anxious 04-14-2007 12:59 PM

I'm try to lucidly dream, but its not working out. Recently I read an article that says to ask yourself if you're dreaming during the day and then answer the question. This is supposed to train you to do this in your dream and once you decide you are then you can control them. Last night I remember asking myself that question in my dream but I said I was awake.
