|
yes, please YSI it, because I've never heard it either and I really want to.
|
I'm uploading the Part 1 Okalahoma to YSI again. Hopefully people will have more luck with it tommorow.
Did anyone manage to get the Part 2 that I posted on the last page? |
There's a new Tool tribute album: The Piano Tribute to Tool. Not sure if many of you like tribute albums like this and the previous string tributes but in case anyone wants to check it out here's the link: http://toolpiano.thetributeto.com
You can preview a couple of seconds of "The Patient", "Schism", and "Ticks and Leeches". I saw this on the Tool site and posted about it earlier in another thread but I wasn't sure if anyone had seen it or not. |
Uploaded. Enjoy.

Did anyone manage to get the Part 2 that I posted on the last page?
Yes, I managed to download it with no problems in about 20 minutes. And many, many thanks. That's by far the best video/audio quality Tool bootleg I've seen so far, and of course, an awesome performance to boot. The performance of Triad was especially cool. I'd be interested to know who the two guys were the joined the band on stage for that song (the guy on drums, and then they other guy on what looked like a keyboard). Maynard looked like he was playing some guitar too. I can't wait to see the first half of the concert. |
Edit: ^ Would you be willing to trade first half for second over msn?
Can someone please post the part 2 of the concert again... I downloaded but did not save it...because I am an idiot...please... |

Actually, I already started uploading it about an hour ago (since sending it to anyone over MSN would be ridiculously slow). So, Darkness Of Greed or anyone else that's looking for the 2nd half of the concert, just check back around 9 o'clock in the morning. If it's finished uploading before I have to leave for work, then I'll come back and post the link here. |
Alright, thanks alot man... I'd rep you but the thing is disabled...
|
Cheers man...YSIget mess up...can you trust anything with YSI on it

Im thinking of making a site with all of these videos uploaded. Although the bandwidth/space would have to be massive. If i did get it up and running, would any of you guys donate through paypal or anything? I have a number of tool videos, some pretty bad quality, some not to bad on my computer. They are all worth a watch too, some have been mentioned throughout this thread, like the guy with 20 mins to live. I just watched No quarter in UK maynard has FISH AND CHIPS on his back. And says afterwards. "heres the joke, were serious, the jokes on you" lol
|
Man its going slow today **** but hopefully ill get it soon anyway
and a question with ysi get it thing if i turn off the comp and the bandwith exceeds will it still be there? |
I got part 2 last night it was f*cking excellent thanks a lot man
|
www.lachrymology.com used to run something like DCIG is talking about, though the site ahs eben down for a while. I dnno if there would be any point in it. It's great adn all to host it but it costs money. We can all just share around what we obtain then we would have no need for the site.

Description: The sparse, stripped down renditions of Tool songs metamorphoses their sonic fury into haunting piano melodies. This piano tribute boils these songs down to their essence and it is in this state that one grows a greater understanding of what makes Tool the band they are: an unflinching exploration of the darker side of life and art. Details: Pre-Order This CD And Have It Shipped One The Release Date. April 19, 2005 Tool is a band that defies category. While many would say their dark, obsessive, guitar driven sonic attack carries on in the proud tradition that Black Sabbath and Metallica started, others would argue the band revitalized the prog rock movement of the 70s, originally forged by such bands as King Crimson (with whom they eventually toured) and Pink Floyd. In either case Tool broke new ground by fusing these genres in the post punk era of grunge. With their haunting, nihilistically themed albums and epic length songs, Tool was an uncompromising musical tsunami that helped resurrect Metal from its 80’s glam deathbed. The Piano Tribute to Tool carries the musical exploration that Tool is known for to a deeper level. Here, the sparse, stripped down renditions of Tool songs metamorphoses their sonic fury into haunting piano melodies. This piano tribute boils these songs down to their essence and it is in this state that one grows a greater understanding of what makes Tool the band they are: an unflinching exploration of the darker side of life and art. Sit down, settle in, and press play, it’s a hell of a ride. Tributed Artists: Tool Songs: 1 Schism 2 Sober 3 Aenima 4 Stinkfist 5 The Patient 6 Undertow 7 Ticks & Leeches 8 Opiate 9 Hush 10 Ark’s Hammer, (Original Track) Linked to from Toolband news. Downloading Schism The Patient and Ticks & Leeches now. (The preview ones on the site.) Anyone else heard this yet? I'll post after ive listened. |
I seen it on the site its alright, Some of the stuff doest really sound like the songs but its still pretty good
|
sounds great, thanks for the info dude
|
i really want somebody to make some a real message board for tool
or maybe i will if anybody will join that is |
This thread has all we need.
|
Numerous people have mentioned starting up their own forums. However, its nice the way we can link with the bigger community, as well as having our own thread. Many posters from here wouldnt go on the new one, because, this is enough, and it servers its purpose. The more forums you register at, the harder it is to have a "quick browse" which is what many people do, incudling me, maybe once a day generally speaking.
