I think trivium are a cool band to listen to for awile but then they start getting boring, i guess you could say I like them in small doses.
yeah I go through phases with them, I was completely obsessed for like a month when I made this name. But recently ive been listening to a lot of classic metallica and bodom. i used to jam with the singer/guitarist in 8th grade and he picked up some of my technique and got better than me

I ordered Ember to the Inferno from interpunk two thursdays ago, and it's still not here....
Discuss what I'm missing out on |
I would love to see these guys live, does anyone have the faintest clue of when they will find their way to Australia ?
Also im watching Ember to inferno live, and whoa could Matt wear his guitar any higher !, in all the other clips i've got he has it between his legs, in this (obviously very early in the career) He has it at chest height. |

"""We are pretty much sick of people labeling us a "metalcore" band, because..we dont like metalcore. We dont do breakdowns and anything like that, and we just want to be a metalband. So the next record is definitely breaking away from the metalcore thing. With the next record you'll have a hard time relating the music to metalcore. Its going to have more technical guitarplaying. We're listening to a lot of Dream Theater and stuff like that, we're trying to put the guitarplaying on a higher level and create a more epic kind of sound. Some songs will be typically Trivium, heavy rocking groove stuff, but some will be more on the technical, progressive side. It will still be easy for someone to listen to because of the melody. Another idea was changing the vocal style. Less of the brutal, screaming metalcore thing. More of a sort of James Hetfield-esque thing like on ...And Justice For All. We have some ideas we want to add to the new record instead of coming out with "Ascendency 2". It really has to be something on its own.""" corey on the new record oh my god, this is going to be so amazing |
wooh, i saw trivium a week ago.Kick as.s show

Being more like Dream Theater is got to be a good thing
|
I would be a big fan of this band if the cookie monster vocals weren't there :thumb:
Rawwwrrr rraaawwwwrrrr rrrrraaaawwwwrrr... ..just dont do it for me Musically and techincally: top notch. never heard a metal band before???
|
Matt's vocals are awesome I think, I think he has a great screaming/singing voice.
|
hey id really appreciate it if anyone has the tab for the solo in fugue?
my bands covering and i cant find it anywhere.thanks if anyone has it |
I thought the vocals were the weakest part of the band...they aren't really anything special.
He actually sings, though, which is a pretty rare thing in popular American metal...his singing voice is decent. However, Trivium has now been officially bastardized by somebody I know, who I will refer to as Top 40. Apparently, he has discovered this band, which means he will be like "OMG Trivium are liek soooo am4zing!" Which will completely destroy any shred of liking I had for this band. So you can all say thank you to him for finding this band. |

Does anyone find the song Dying In Your Arms completely out of place? It sounds very emo (except the guitar is amazing) and the rest if very heavy metal
hey id really appreciate it if anyone has the tab for the solo in fugue? my bands covering and i cant find it anywhere.thanks if anyone has it
mxtabs.net |
