I use Firefox, so that's a resounding NO.

Wanker 10-25-2004 12:47 PM

RIPJoeStrummer 10-25-2004 01:03 PM

Yeah, when I use Opera but I dont' because it sucks so no.

Luxor 10-25-2004 01:07 PM

I get no ads. My computer came with some firewall/pop-up blocker that basically blocks everything.

Well_Respected_Man 10-25-2004 02:22 PM

Hey Swe(ety).

The Ashtray Girl 10-25-2004 02:32 PM

Ooh, just got Soulseek, feel the excitement. If anyone has it, let me know your username on there, I wanna feel like I have friends. I'm theashtraygirl again.

Also, saw Stu and Michelle from Big Brother near my house today. I'm special.

sweboy 10-25-2004 02:40 PM

Am I the only one not using Soulseek here?

ColdFire 10-25-2004 02:44 PM

Yes you are.

ColdFire 10-25-2004 02:49 PM

What is soulseek?

sweboy 10-25-2004 02:51 PM

It's a program that slowly kills your computer from within.

Ares anyone?

CarnageFairy 10-25-2004 02:51 PM
Yes you are.
Nah, I use SoulSeek.

Medopalis: SoulSeek doesn't come with any spyware, as far as I know.
If spyware is a problem just get spybot, ad-aware and a program called SpywareBlaster to block it.

ColdFire 10-25-2004 02:54 PM

Dude, that's not the BJ face, this is the BJ face: :o . "" is the "Oh Snap, he put it in my butt"-face. And that is the truth.

ColdFire 10-25-2004 03:07 PM

Either way I like it.

Iai 10-25-2004 03:28 PM
And does Soulseek come without Spyware, as I'm not reformatting my computer again?
I've had no trouble at all.

Iai 10-25-2004 03:29 PM
Also, saw Stu and Michelle from Big Brother near my house today. I'm special.
No no no. They're special. Special, as in, their parents are most likely related.

Well_Respected_Man 10-25-2004 03:33 PM

We're closing on 666 posts.

In R&M this would be big news.

AK47 10-25-2004 06:18 PM

I just downloaded Smile today. I'm really digging it so far.

br3ad_man 10-25-2004 06:22 PM

I might be seeing him with my parents in December, depends if they want to fork out $450. They probably won't. Oh well.

I'm going to start spending less time on mx during the week but I'll still be on during the weekends. I'll probably be on for half an hour at most every week day.

br3ad_man 10-25-2004 06:23 PM

666 posts omg!

AK47 10-25-2004 06:27 PM

br3ad_man 10-25-2004 06:37 PM

 I can't listen now. Is it good? The last album wasn't great...

Iai 10-25-2004 06:39 PM

On a vaguely 666-related note, there was an article today in The Sun that pissed me off no end. It was about a Navy commander who practices LaVey Satanism. He's been given the right to practice the religion while on duty, as other officers are given prayer rooms, etc - although the reason he did it was because he didn't want a Christian burial, as officers are currently forced to have. He's also lobbying to have Satanism recognized as an official religion by the armed forces, which means new officers joining up can choose to be recognized in this way, rather than as "Other/Not Disclosed".

Naturally, The Sun (the country's biggest newspaper, trashy tabloid) took it upon itself to put up a full page about devil worshippers. Claiming that demons will be summoned into battle and such silliness. It gave a brief, entirely inaccurate, history of the LaVey Church of Satan, and basically made up a list of things practitioners of the religion supposedly do. Ritauls with synthetic phalluses were mentioned, for christ's sake.

What's more, it had the audacity to claim, on another page, that 'anybody with a modicum of sense can see that the Church of Satan is trash'. How the hell can they say that about a religion?!? That's exactly the same attitude that's caused every single conflict in history. My God's bigger than your God, so I'm going to opress you. (And Satanism is a religion that clearly states their is no diety!)

Sorry for ranting, but things like that really get under my skin.

Happymeal 10-25-2004 06:53 PM

There's only one song there, "Watch the Sky", but it's alright, I like it:)

/mental note

I'll DL that SoCo album one of these days(the one you reviewed).

Luxor 10-25-2004 07:04 PM

Something Corporate? Yucky.

Well_Respected_Man 10-25-2004 08:33 PM

Well, I just got back from my orchestra concert and I had a great time. We played three songs and I'm pretty sure most people could hear me. My dad told me that even though he couldn't see me well he could always tell I was playing because I would always do a little headbanging. I thought it was rather humorous as I never notice myself doing that.

Little Man being Erased 10-25-2004 08:39 PM

What instrument did you play?
