Led Zep did
|
That doesnt necessarily mean anything, last time I checked Michael Jackson's thriller is well over 20x Platinum and it didn't take him twenty years to get that far, unlike Back in Black
If you are into frikken Michael Jackson then get off the ROK AND METAL forum. Seriously get out of here this AC/DC's thread and either your in or your out and you will never be in. Come on Angus13 lets get him out of here  !!! |
no one doubts that they rock harder than acdc any day. But name more than 20 pop does better in ratings than most rock bands
|
^^^^^^^^^ agreed
GET OUT |
Led Zep isn't pop
|
yeh lol you tell em red white and black
|
I don't got a problem with Zeppelin but talk on the Official Zep thread and not the AC/DC one... now get out you are pissin me offf!!!
|
YES lets get back on the acdc thread
SO DID ANYBODY HEAR ABOUT ACDC THE NEW WORLD TOUR |
Not you Angus YOung13 that other rock poser ***.
|
I heard that they were comin out with a new album/tour in 05 but thats it
|
And it would be beautiful to watch the boys from down under climb up the MTV charts and show everyone that Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution!
|
Yeh so did i but i dont know when its gonna come out. But i recently heard about the world tour in 05 man its gonna be awsome im gonna start saving my money now
|
I just hope they come out with new material cus as much as i like Motley Crue and Van Halen their new albums are little more than a gretest hits collection.
|
yeh, very true i hope its not just like a greatest hits
|
But Stiff Upper Lip wasn't made in their golden years and they came out and showed everyone that there is more to rock than just a lotta this new crap.
|
Now don't get me wrong not all the new stuff is all that bad, but it doesn't have the same power as the classics and early metal.
|
Yeah. I really haven't seen any newer rock bands that can rock the stadium as well as ac/dc. The Darkness is the next closest but ac/dc still beats their asses into the ground musically.
|
Anyone seen Live at Donnington? Pretty good stuff.
|
Yeah. I really haven't seen any newer rock bands that can rock the stadium as well as ac/dc. The Darkness is the next closest but ac/dc still beats their asses into the ground musically.
Agreed |
Yeah. When Angus plays with his tongue on High Voltage I realized that he deserves all the attention that he gets.
|
Anyone seen Live at Donnington? Pretty good stuff.
Yeah I have it. I have to watch it every few weeks usually but the one speaker on TV broke so I can barely hear angus' playing. But yeah, would have been a kick ass show to be at. I guess any AC/DC would be for that matter. |
BRIAN IS BETTER THAN SCOTT
(but is still respect scott)
I don't beleive you call yourself a fan. |

True, with timing, solo's and so forth. Just the way they gel together as a band when they perform.
BRIAN IS BETTER THAN SCOTT (but is still respect scott)
Thats the first time I have ever heard Brian Johnson being mentioned as a better lead singer than Bon Scott, everyone's entitled to their own opinions I suppose. |
i think no bull is better than live at donnington much more interesting show to watch
|
Stiff upper Lip: Live @ Munich is awesome, too. Has anybody seen it ? I was at that tour in Hockenheim a few days before that concert in Munich and in Hockenheim they rocked as good as in Munich.
btw: is there now a release date for "strap it on"? I can't wait for the album and the tour..... |
I havn't heard an official release date yet but I recall hearing March from something. But yeah, I'll do anything to see them when they tour. May be the last chance.
|
I don't beleive you call yourself a fan.
Nah Im not serious. His work is quite good but I personally think he shouldnt sing too many bon songs. He ruined High Voltage, Jailbreak and Let there be Rock. |
get real!
All of their songs sound exactly the same to me.
They only sounf the same if you dont give it a chance. Angus young was a guitar genius and had twice the talent of modern day metal. |
ive got tickets
I havn't heard an official release date yet but I recall hearing March from something. But yeah, I'll do anything to see them when they tour. May be the last chance.
Strap it On, is that the new album?
|
Strap it On, is that the new album?
Yes. |
yea i very much agree, i think that its just been built up so much, people just assume its that great even if they havent listened to way to much....like the posers at my school for example. Personally i do like them, but i dont feel that their as amazing as people say, sounds good, that does matter, who cares if they arent the most talented people ya know. But i do agree overall.
|
ive got tickets oh yeah!
Whered did you get tickets? Or were you just being stupid? |
ITS NOT BEING CALLED STRAP IT ON! that is just a romur. here is the offical AC/DC message board http://forums1.sonymusic.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=8581093&f=286101211&m=6191015591
trust me its not called strap it on. and there is no dates for the tour yet. |
AC/DC are one of the best rock bands ever, FACT.
They have some really great albums like "High Voltage", "Highway To Hell", "Back In Black" and "The Razor's Edge" and they have some **** albums too like "Powerage", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "For Those About To Rock, We Salute You" and "Ballbreaker". They admit they are samey. "The critics don't like us, as Angus said, we put out the same album every year with a different cover! But the kids like it" - Malcom Young. Angus Young is a very good guitarist, maybe second tier to Hendrix, Van Halen and Satriani, but there's no denying his talent in rock riffing. I like them a lot. |
yeh theyre bass player (cliff williams) is good but could be better
|
^ yeah like I was saying before Mark Evans is better. Does anyone know why he left?
|
^ yeah like I was saying before Mark Evans is better. Does anyone know why he left?
I've read that he left because him and Angus had "issues" with each other. More than that I do not know. |
