I recommend it. |

|

|
listening to Mrs. Jynx's The Standoffish Cat a lot recently, excellent work from a female IDM artist
|
Haz, would you mind uploading Foetus - Love and Foetus - Hole?
Can't find them anywhere :( |
yeah sure, check your last.fm over the next 24 hours or so i'm going to bed ;]
on that note, Informatik's latest was an interesting listen, sort of lo-fi EBM industrial-rock. its kinda cheesy and lame in parts though http://www.sputnikmusic.com/album.php?reviewid=31887 |
Thanks, man :D
|
On a vaguely on-topic note I finished mixing my 100th track last night. Total catalogue is now 7 hours, 40 minutes long.
|
I ended up giving Aimless and Fading Fast a spin for the hell of it last night Aaron, So Happy Your Ears Bleed is probably my favourite Catfight track.
|
Cheers man. That's Phil and me collaborating. One of three out of the hundred that is.
|
What do you guys think about ohGr's material? (i.e. album: welt) He's Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy. pretty different stuff.
Also, I need recommendations. Something completely new. What are some top songs you'd repeat over and over? |
I've heard Welt, I didn't like it much but i've never been a fan of gothic EBM or Skinny Puppy in general. I'm told the latest album is pretty good though. Front 242's Welcome To Paradise comes to mind as a song I always put on repeat - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXMJ51yvfF0
Check out the industrial section in the recommendations/suggestions thread stickied up the top if you want to check out some new bands. Welcome to the forums. |
Autechre FTW

Anyone looking for industrial metal (with a Killing Joke vibe running through it), 16Volt's first four albums are available for free download on their site. Apparently their label (Reconstriction Records - Killing Floor, Vampire Rodents, Collide) went under so the band is just giving them away. Also, their new album is out on Metropolis Records on September 8th. Anyway, start with SCN V2.0 first.
http://16volt.com/downloads/
I was pretty underwhelmed with Evil's Toy, if anybody had heard of them.
Which one did you hear? "Human Refuse" is one of the best harsh EBM albums I've heard.
I've heard Welt, I didn't like it much but i've never been a fan of gothic EBM or Skinny Puppy in general. I'm told the latest album is pretty good though.
It is. It's his only good solo album. |
Yeah i've heard good things about 16volt.
The Evil's Toy album was XTC Implant, you must have dug far back into the thread for that. :p I'll check out Human Refuse, thanks. |

XTC Implant is the last ok album that band released. Try Human Refuse. If you can't find it, I have it. 16Volt aren't ever awesome (although their upcoming album has its moments), but they're always good. I actually just reviewed the upcoming album. That's what reminded me to post the links to their free albums in here. |
I see. Yeah, this thread has enjoyed a surprisingly long endurance seeing as industrial has always been a fairly underrepresented genre around here. There have been a few users who have become regular posters, at least.
I have a source for that album, but thanks anyway. I'll get on that Project Pitchfork album you've been harassing me with as well ;] |
Yeah I thought this thread would fizzle out after around three pages but we endured
