5 more days for me...i am calling Sanctuary - US and contacting Merck Mercuriadis (CEO) to see if i can get permission to record and bring in a banner. He is known to give VIP passes out to those who contact him. So we will see!

TheArtist 01-25-2004 04:32 PM

Dude, I'd love that recording since I cant go to that show. :upset:
Iron Maiden definately know how to put on a great show. UP THE FOKKING IRONS!!!!!! :thumb:  You had to been there man.
you still didnt tell me what color Adrian's panties were lol. :naughty: anyways, im glad you had a blast! when i saw them for the second time this past august, i was overwhelmed with energy. I thought of a valid point the other day, "there is no such thing as a half-assed Iron Maiden fan"...either you dont like them or you worship them, and i think thats what has kept them going for so long being as wonderful as they are!! New album, hell im ready for it! The past two releases (BNW, and DOD) i think were some of their best efforts and the new songs sound wonderful live!! If they go anywhere in the US, anywhere, this summer im going. Its not even open for discussion! Did they play anything from "somewhere in time"? im sure not, though id love to hear some stuff off that cd live, it being my favourite and all. When i saw them last time Janick's guitar wasnt turned up loud enough and it bummed me out when he got to a solo and you had to know it by memory to be able to tell what he was playing. They are ungodly live, just undescriable to anyone who has never seen them. anyone pationate about Maiden knows the feeling right before they hit the stage, its unreal.

HondoII 01-25-2004 09:28 PM

that was fuckin gay about how that dumbshit spilt his beer on the soundboard and maiden had to cut it short (didnt play the encores) last night.

lol go start at the begginning. Get IRON MAIDEN then work your way up through the albums. Youll see how good Bruce is.

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-25-2004 10:49 PM

haha, deeper voice??? thats awful, im sorry...Maiden with a deep voice wouldnt be Maiden. High Pitches vocals with galloping bass lines and dual harmonizing leads are what make up the bands essnetial sounds. i wont hear of it!!!!!

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-25-2004 10:50 PM
man I wanna see em live so bad, cause they might not tour again.
they will continue to tour just not for lenghty periods of time like they did in the past.

JMetallica 01-26-2004 01:04 AM

...I'd be more worried about Judas Priest, not Maiden :p

I take it you didn't enjoy Blaze then?

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-26-2004 02:37 AM

^^^^

he has his moments, but out of all 3 singers he was my least favourite. Blood on the worlds hands, man on the edge, clansan, the unbeliever, and the educated fool were my favourite with him. if he wasnt in Iron Maiden, i wouldnt be so hard on him :)

well consider the fact that Joey Ramone died at 50.

Thunder Fingers 01-26-2004 11:47 AM
well consider the fact that Joey Ramone died at 50.
Dont u think he lived a little other lifestyle than what anyone In Iron Maiden does?

HondoII 01-26-2004 11:49 AM

Iron Maiden refuses drugs. Sure they drink but they are reponsible drinkers not like many "rockstars"

zeppelin_rules_62 01-26-2004 12:14 PM

Trust me. If you've seen maiden live you'll realise they ain't going nowhere!!

zeppelin_rules_62 01-26-2004 12:17 PM

Ooh, its getting bigger, but im sure there are loads of annoying kids who need "educating" out there!!

I'll leave the Wives of Hery VIII for the maiden army if you guys will let me.
I've been into maiden since is was a little kid if that helps...

RockerGav 01-26-2004 12:59 PM

No, I just don't like all these groups forming.
No, I just don't like all these groups forming.
yes it is getting grossly out of hand.

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-26-2004 04:34 PM
there gettin old dude...
the oldest is Nicko who is 50, youngest is Bruce who is 45...they have plenty of time. Peter Criss of Kiss just turned 58 and they have been on tour for months lol, Maiden being a drug free band and a band who get along so well, touring for them is more of a joy than a job, they just hate being away from their families for such a long time on tour, but a few months they said they can spare....just not the 14th month world tours. they've done that and deserve time with their families at their age.
