I haven't seen that movie in forever. It was awesome, though.

Kage 11-09-2006 07:34 PM

I still haven't seen that, but I'd like to see it. I mean, it'll take something brilliant visually to live up to that audio.

TojesDolan 11-09-2006 07:35 PM

It's basically the guy running trying to find people.
It's basically the guy running trying to find people.
That's a pretty good summary.

"East Hastings" is a badass song.

however Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada is their best

TojesDolan 11-09-2006 07:51 PM

Here you go, good man.

Thanks brother. =D

I hate to be critical but that was pretty much a travesty.

Whatever they are playing sounds very eerie.. = 0

And yeah the guy is a bit androgynous. = 0

The movie is awesome though.

Auberge le Mouton Noir 11-10-2006 08:31 PM
I love them. He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corners of Our Rooms is my favorite album by them.
I quite like some of the more conventional stuff they've done too; "This is our punk rock, thee rusted sattelites gather and sing" and "horses in the sky" are both great records.
"East Hastings" is a badass song.

however Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada is their best
Moya is my favourite GYBE song; it's so good it's my favourite song from the whole GYBE movement.

So who likes "Do make say think"?

Eliminator 11-10-2006 09:11 PM

I still haven't heard Do Make Say Think. =\

does anyone listen to Eluvium here

Sleepy 11-11-2006 12:43 AM

Do Make Say Think is pretty good. My favorite Godspeed song has to be Dead Flag Blues, though. Monologues ftw.
So who likes "Do make say think"?
I really like them, one of the best artists on the constellation label. I like how they sort of reunite the rhythmic approach Tortoise and similar bands use and the melodic approach utilised by such bands as GY!BE. I think I posted this before, but you can watch an old (as in, 2002) full concert by them here:
www.fabchannel.com (type in do make say think in the search thing)
does anyone listen to Eluvium here
I have a few songs of his which I downloaded upon reading the review someone did for an album of his. He's pretty nice, I especially like his piano work.

Txus 11-13-2006 06:35 PM

I just bought the Isis DVD and I have to say it's sooo ****ing amazing. Their live performance is soo good. So Did We live is jaw dropping.

Kage 11-13-2006 06:39 PM

Watching a live video of Isis is what made me realize they're amazing.

I'm currently...er...obtaining their DVD as we speak. I look forward to it.

Txus 11-13-2006 06:41 PM

Buy it, the booklet is really nice and all. Support the band you whore :p

Kage 11-13-2006 06:42 PM

I've been spending too much money on CDs lately. I'm saving up money so I can go to college. Who's the whore now?

Txus 11-13-2006 07:20 PM

I'm going to College and I still buy my stuff. Meh, we're both whores. How does that sound? :p

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-13-2006 07:21 PM

Still you, sorry.

I may get that DVD after I get more of their music. I only have Panopticon and Absence

Txus 11-13-2006 07:28 PM

 Don't ever ask me for more psytrance.

bwnstl 11-13-2006 08:31 PM

On November 1st, an album called Golevka by a Swiss post-rock band called The Evpatoria Report was uploaded, but within a couple days the link had expired. Would someone be kind enough to re-up that?

And please buy Clearing the Eye. It's worth it, even if the money is hard to come by (I know this from experience). I too go to college, and never have enough money to buy the albums I want, but I decided to suck it up and buy the DVD.

Txus 11-13-2006 08:34 PM

You're the man, bwstl. I did the same thing, I bought it today along with Don Caballeros What Burns Never Returns

bwnstl 11-13-2006 11:49 PM

:) Yep. I bought it about 3 weeks ago, but I've only had the chance to watch about half of it. It's amazing though...
