Rock in Rio is pretty good, I've seen it once or twice.
|
Yeah I have a little part of the concert on my computer, it kicks a$$.
|
What Sabbath dvd do you reccomend?
|
The Last Supper.
Not only do you get an entire concert, but between songs there is interview segments with good bits of band history and funny stuff in general. Well worth buying. |
DO NOT GET the never say die one, ****ty sound quality, so the only other option is last supper, good concerts, not to many special features, but **** it.
|
Alright I'll put Last Supper on ma' Christmas list :smoke:
|
They had really basic effects, how would Geezer have got the Wah on the intro to N.I.B if they didn't have them?
i read that he had the wah on by mistake, and he couldnt re do it, i think he just used a guitar one |
Never Say Die wasn't so bad, I got it as a present so its all good.
Its a good watch though to see Sabbath in their prime...well...late prime with Ozzy. |

I know that his amps were screwed when they made the album which gave him the distorted sound. But a wah is definatley used on N.I.B for the bass. |
What's Sabbath's drummer name? He rarely gets mentioned anywhere it seems to me.
/watching War Pigs |
Woa, I was just messing around on my guitar and I just made a song that sounds like a Sabbath song. I got to get the riffs down before they leave my mind.
|
sabbaths drummer is bill ward, at least in the ozzy era, i dont know the others
|

yeah happens all the time. Their riffs are like so natural |
Whoa, a lot has happened in the day that i've been gone, I almost lost my comp for the rest of the month but I got it back, so back to the Sabbath talk.

So I finally found this thread on page 4 of R&M...
Anyways. Sabbath's main drummer is Bill Ward, 2nd in command for drumming is Vinny Apiche(sp?), who went on to form Dio with Ronnie James Dio when they left the band after releasing Live Evil. Cozey Powell drummed for Sabbath during the mid/late 80's, and Ozzy's drummer Mike Bordin drummed for them at Ozzfest 1997. On the reunion tour in 1998/1999, they had Vinny's kit set up behind Bills just incase Bill couldn't hande touring due to having a heart attack not long before the tour started. I'll shut up now :) |

True, but all the interviews are great fun, especially ''What was Ozzy-zig needs a gig?''*insert brummie accent here* And Dirty Women deserves a :naughty: |
my favourtie story is about bill's heart attack, when geezer sent him that card
im gonna do that to someone |
Wasn't it ''Congratulations on your new baby''?
|
yeah, its not that nice when you think about it
|
True, but they've known each other for decades so he could get away with it.
|
i suppose, but im still going to do it to one of my friends
|
i was well pissed off at HMV last saturday, they only had sabbath albums that i already have
what are the chances!?!?!? |
Virgin normally stock the non-Ozzy Sabbath albums.
