I've got $200 stashed away right now.

I can't decide whether to spend it on effects or keep saving for a fretless Fender Jazz.

I played a fretless J today at GC. It had flatwounds and was really smooth. I thought I was in heaven...



...until I saw the fretless Warwick Rockbass with flatwounds...




...THEN I was in heaven. :p

The other day I played a fretless Corvette with rounds. Was really nice.

I think I'm gonna let it rest on whether I get into a band once the semsmter starts back up or not. If yes, I'll probably need the effects, so I'll get them, if no, I'll just keep saving.

They say bright, but the guy from GC said they were bassy.

I think he said that because I told him "I'm looking for bassy strings that aren't flatwounds. Any suggestions?"

If I don't like 'em then whatever...:p

Aprox. $420 with some of it shipped.

Good deal. I think I'd like to eventually get that nice 300w Ashdown MAG300 head and the matching 4x10. That's about $600. Right now all I've got it my Fender Bassman 60w, but that thing is really loud for a 60w, I have to say.

A better cab would be more costly, but would make it 300, another decent cab would make it 650 watts of output.

I have had these on for about six month. I try not to boil them more than once before replacing them.

Maybe I should settle for a 200$ head and 200$ cab?
