Spaceman Spiff 01-29-2005 11:47 PM

When I go bowling I refuse to wear bowling shoes, I just wear my regular shoes. Bowling shoes at the allies are disgusting.

Listening to Oasis.

Spaceman Spiff 01-29-2005 11:52 PM

Is it just me, or is it just one of the worst things in the world when someone you know dies.

The thing about the death...
Well, my mom and stepdad have this friend, they've all known each other since they were probably under 10-years-old. I have met him a bunch of times too and he's a really good guy.
This friend, since about a year ago, has had a very rare form of cancer. With treatment he has received, there were a couple of times where it seemed like he was recovering, he was doing much better, it seemed like the cancer was gone, but in fact it was only getting worse.
For the last 6 months or so, the cancer has been in his lungs and has been growing bigger, and since about 2 days ago he has needed an oxygen tank to breathe.
And so, after this long year of suffering, he will most likely be dead within a week or two.
It's very sad.

Spaceman Spiff 01-30-2005 12:13 AM

I believe Oasis is still around, I don't know for sure though.

rybass 01-30-2005 12:13 AM

That is sad.

ridethelightning 01-30-2005 12:15 AM

that sucks

for moments like that, they should be able to put the guy out of his misery and the familys pain. let him go out good.

ridethelightning 01-30-2005 12:16 AM

peace out MX

rybass 01-30-2005 12:17 AM

G'night

That's me in a nutshell.

rybass 01-30-2005 12:41 AM

Right on!

cliffburtonrules 01-30-2005 12:44 AM

Ya, I'm really into my Maiden phase right now.....

But I don't own any of their actual records.

I have Ed Hunter which is a best of voted my the fans so it's obviously the best best-of. And I've downoaded a few songs from them.

rybass 01-30-2005 12:47 AM

I am also into my Maiden phase right now too. I've been listening and playing a long to "The Number Of The Beast" and "Powerslave" a lot lately. Seems to be helping my right hand too.

Spaceman Spiff 01-30-2005 12:48 AM

Some rap is pretty good.
NWA
Immortal Technique
K-OS (pronounced chaos)
Outkast
Dead Prez (well, they're good and really funny, not funny on purpose though)

rybass 01-30-2005 12:51 AM

The only rap I can tolerate is Public Enemy. "Yeeeaaah Boy"

Spaceman Spiff 01-30-2005 12:51 AM

now playing: Jesus Christ Was An Only Child ~~ Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse is really good. Their music is constantly changing, no 2 albums sound alike.

I only know the intro of both of those songs..............

I play along to Hallowed be Thy Name :thumb:

I forgot about them, they're awesome too.
Ooh, and Cypress Hill.

rybass 01-30-2005 12:53 AM

Hallowed Be Thy Name is really fun to play. Especially that bridge part where the bass and guitar kind of go crazy. You should learn "Losfer Words."

cliffburtonrules 01-30-2005 12:55 AM

^^^^^^^ alright.

I also like The Wicker Man.

rybass 01-30-2005 12:56 AM

Can forget about The Trooper

Spaceman Spiff 01-30-2005 12:57 AM

Here is a list of the Maiden songs I like/can tolerate:
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Number Of The Beast
The Trooper
Run To The Hills

I believe that is the entire list, there might be a couple others that I am forgetting though.

rybass 01-30-2005 01:00 AM

Alright well I'm off for the night. Take it easy guys.
