LoneStarDrummer 08-29-2006 10:17 PM

anybody here tried the vater chad smith sticks?

i love the vater 5b hickory sticks, but i prefer a faster taper so that there's more weight near the tip and thats what people say these do.

just wondering if anyone has tried them

Hehe. I play volleyball, does that make me a fag?

stevensonmat2 08-29-2006 10:23 PM

Star Trek TNG, DS9, and Voyager are the only star treks worth watching.

Leprechauns1021 08-29-2006 10:26 PM

OK so I know when a straight person calls them a fag, its an isnult.

But here we have an actual homo calling somone a fag. Is that a compliment?

Sunshine 08-29-2006 10:48 PM

I got called today for an interview at the mall food court subway.

I reaaaaaaaaaally hope I get it, I need a job badly and I just don't feel like working at McDonalds.

Maggot Dream 08-29-2006 10:50 PM

I work at a dry cleaners. It's really depressing.

What is martinizing?

Sunshine 08-29-2006 10:52 PM

Y'know, I almost applied at the drycleaning place on Fry.

But it doesn't stay open long enough for me to stuff in a full, 40-hour work week like I can at the mall.

And, the mall is inbetween my house and school, so I don't have to drive out o' the way ever.

AND, all mall employees [stores, kiosks, food court and so on] get a 10% mall discount no matter what store they go to.

Which, for a girl like me, is a good, good thing.

Maggot Dream 08-29-2006 10:53 PM
What is martinizing?
Hmmm...

I guess it's just a faster way of doing dry cleaning, done on site instead of at a central plant store.

I hadn't heard of it before, but I guess that's because the store I work at doesn't do it that way.

Janeway 08-29-2006 10:54 PM

I'd like to work at a laundromat.

I like the smell of detergent, they have a Yoohoo machine, and they do absolutely nothing except fold clothing and watch TV.

stevensonmat2 08-29-2006 10:54 PM

The shatner roast rocked.

it would suck to fold clothes all day though. i would lose my ****ing mind.

Janeway 08-29-2006 10:58 PM

Pam Anderson's was better.

I sort, tag, and invoice clothes all day.

It's not too bad, if you don't work with idiots and you bring music along.

Janeway 08-29-2006 11:00 PM

Yeah, but it isn't like it's labor intensive folding.

It's folding some towels and underwear for an idiot who will spend $30 a week to have someone else wash their clothes for them. You can sniff panties all day long, too.

$30? Pfft.

Some people send in around $100 every week. I hate those people, it takes too long to invoice their clothes.

Maggot Dream 08-29-2006 11:09 PM

There's a woman who send in clothes every week who asks us to pre-spot (remove stains) from the inside crotch area of all women's pants and shorts.

Janeway 08-29-2006 11:10 PM

$100? Wtf?

It's $4 for a bottle of detergent that will last for months.
How the hell can they get $100 out of that?

Maggot Dream 08-29-2006 11:14 PM

Well, between laundry, dry cleaning, and all the upcharges (for silk, cashmere, etc.), and if you send in a large bag, it can get pretty expensive. The most I've invoiced for was like $209.

_R2D2_ 08-29-2006 11:14 PM

i bet you guys get all kinds of interesting stains.

Janeway 08-29-2006 11:17 PM

Perhaps I should ditch funeral service for dry cleaning...

I know I find some interesting underwear stains sometimes. =/
If you let them sit for long periods of time, they get mighty damn stinky. I can't imagine having to hand clean it after it's been sitting in a hamper for days.

Yeah, that woman's pants usually have a pretty...strong....smell.

If by some cruel twist of fate I ever end up owning that company, I'm starting a policy of no dry cleaning for people who don't wear underwear.

Unless you show us.
