Fall has bees though. I don't like bees.

Janeway 08-29-2006 12:54 AM

I've never ever seen bees in fall.

Sunshine 08-29-2006 02:48 AM

There were bees at the college today...

Granted, it's not yet fall.

Its still 100 degrees.

Apparently spring and fall are about two weeks each here. It just goes from really hot for a bunch of months to really cold [at least I think so, everybody else seems not to] to a couple months and back again.

Josiah 08-29-2006 02:49 AM

HAha I know what you mean. We have two seasons here. Warm and warmer.

Kronos 08-29-2006 02:55 AM

Well in UK, we've had the hottest July in history, and just about finished with the wettest, coldest August ever. Summer stopped on July 29th. Period. Today it's 14C and windy.
Tremendous.

Josiah 08-29-2006 03:03 AM

All in perspective too!

When I took surf trips to the tropical countries, coming here it seemed cold. But I bet traveling over to the UK it'd be freezing from beign here!

We have no seasons.... non. We do have smog though!

Yeah, what is up with that. June and july were boiling, and those were the months i was on holiday/at school, and when i come back, it's bloody cold, and raining.

Kronos 08-29-2006 04:36 AM

Especially vexing since the goons at the Met Office were promising "even hotter weather" in August.

Boy, did they get that wrong....

At least sleep has been possible again

Janeway 08-29-2006 05:06 AM

August was really cold.
It stayed mostly in the 70's and there was only like one or two days in the 90's.

I can't stop listening to the song in this video. =/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eARSBik1QsA
I have it on my mp3 player and I watched the video atleast 10 times.

maniac0796 08-29-2006 05:15 AM

I bet september the 6th will be absoultly boiling, cos thats the day i go back to school

Janeway 08-29-2006 05:24 AM

I'm downloading Vengaboys, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue so I can totally rot my brain out in the next week.

And I'm going to watch Buffy, Xena, and Ellen before passing out until 4 o'clock.
Then I'm going to read a book, listen to more shitty music, drink some coffee, and go back to sleep until 10. I'm going to make this week last. =/

LiquidTensionTheatre 08-29-2006 05:53 AM

My computers being strange =\ I think it's cause I just moved out to the country and we only have dial-up here...

Jezen 08-29-2006 06:58 AM

The weather was totally fucked here in Darlington yesterday. I got home from Char's and it was nice and hot outside, so I sunbathed but after 10 minutes it started raining. It was raining and the sun was shining at the same time. Rainbow season?

Oh and then like half an hour later, a hailstorm started.

This iMac is definately damaging my vision.

raz0r 08-29-2006 08:50 AM

We only seem to get 2 seasons here too.

Lukewarm and Rainy
or
Freezing and icy.

As soon as snow falls, it melts overnight, if not as soon as it hits the ground.

ofDooM 08-29-2006 09:10 AM

i got very hot, and very cold.

its the desert...

Much like UK, hence the joke "How do you know when it's summer in England?"

"You need one less sweater under your raincoat"

Pfft.

I don't even wear a jumper when I'm snowboarding.
A single short sleeved t-shirt, and a coat does me fine.
My body does the rest of the work.

If you're too cold, you're not moving around enough :D

Kronos 08-29-2006 12:32 PM

It's a joke - not literal.

Where do you snowboard, if the snow melts as soon as it hits the ground?
/curious

weird. Living on the mainland, you should get boiling summers and freezing winters.

ofDooM 08-29-2006 12:47 PM

EDIT: nvm i got the notes from a girl next from me.

Abroad.
Or an indoor place about 20 minutes away. On a synthetic hill.

The biggest hills within 200km of here are sand dunes, at about 10m above sea level.

Kronos 08-29-2006 01:36 PM

Sounds like East Anglia - we have a synthetic ski slope a few miles away. Otherwise, it's them sand dunes.....

trysthedrummer 08-29-2006 01:49 PM

It's been the ****test August ever. Mother nature can't make her mind up it seems. It's constantly raining and then it gets sunny, again and again.

I always to forget to wear trousers coming back home from the US from Florida and Nevada. It's too hot to wear trousers but it's too cold to be wearing shorts when you get back. :(

Berk 08-29-2006 01:51 PM

Interesting day today.

I got kicked out of L&M's. I was playing cymbals and looking for Meinl's, I was there for like 1:00-1:15. The guy was like, "I think its time to go", I felt unwanted.

Janeway 08-29-2006 02:58 PM

Wow.

Kylie Minogue did not live up to Your Disco.

I just wasted 174mb.

ofDooM 08-29-2006 03:16 PM

i feel so unbelievably lazy right now..

zfzgg 08-29-2006 04:19 PM

eh.

Why is advanced always so dead?
