Did someone say Alsena is better than Parkway Drive?
Internet kids these days.

I'm 100% behind illpressureurhinges1.
Parkway Drive may be generic and mediocre, but Alsena....

Guys, listen to Thrice.

No, seriously, Parkway Drive blows that hard.

Valhall 12-23-2007 06:55 PM

Thrice is not metalcore though......

If you wanna go that route, 36 Crazyfists owns Thrice.

i am the robots 12-23-2007 06:59 PM

DJTeeLay 12-23-2007 07:06 PM

Isn't Alsena Post-Hardcore?
Thrice is Post-Hardcore.

Here. In my eyes, good Metalcore bands, as generic as they may be to you:

Botch
Poison the Well
Norma Jean (I like their past two CDs, but they lean more towards Mathcore and they aren't worth mentioning in comparison to their first CD)
August Burns Red
Parkway Drive (OH MY GAWD! GENERIC POOP!)
Haste the Day (OH MY GAWD! ANOTHER GENERIC BAND! KILL ME NOW!)
Inhale Exhale
The Showdown (first CD)
All that Remains

And many more.
How about you quit being an immature douchebag and give me a valid reason to think otherwise.

Hint: Without using the words "gay", "sucks", "generic", or crappy".

I mean valid.

i am the robots 12-23-2007 07:21 PM

It's the fact that you just said 36 Crazyfists is good, let alone better than Thrice.

And Thrice is metalcore you morons, post-hardcore = bands like Hüsker Dü.

Tyler 12-23-2007 07:22 PM

Thrice is somewhere in between. Now that they think they're Radiohead/The Deftones, I'm even more confused.

RetiredAt21 12-23-2007 07:25 PM

Thrice is ****ing lame anymore.

Concubine 12-23-2007 07:26 PM

OH WOW YOU'RE SO ****ING IMMATURE I ****ING HATE YOU

@Justin: agreed (about Thrice being lame anymore)

DJTeeLay 12-23-2007 08:06 PM

Thrice being lame anymore?
That makes sense.

jrowa001 12-23-2007 08:25 PM

i listened to some early Nodes of Ranvier. pretty decent metalcore. too bad their new album sucks and took the same road as the newest It Dies Today and Still Remains albums

No ****. I told you to intelligently explain why you thought otherwise, besides your usual "oh they're gay" or some ****.

Aren't you the one who just said "owns" and left it at that? It's a two way street, goddamn.

Valhall 12-23-2007 11:02 PM

Yes, you're right. I feel Mappy simply didn't have to respond the way he did, that's all.

Txus 12-24-2007 09:18 AM

Thrice are still pretty awesome in my books.
And Thrice is metalcore you morons, post-hardcore = bands like Hüsker Dü.
srsly mappy, lulz

2muchket! 12-24-2007 10:41 AM

Thrice bore me to hell.

Don't mind a bit of 36CF now and again. Prefer 'em to Thrice anyway.

Parkway Drive are extremely bad as well. So generic and not even good generic like KsE are either.

botb 12-24-2007 12:49 PM

I like parkway drive :(

illpressureurhinges1 12-24-2007 02:00 PM
I like parkway drive :(
Is the sad face because you wish you didn't or because it seems like no one else does?

Valhall 12-24-2007 02:04 PM

I have a Parkway Drive album but I think I only listened to it once before putting it in the very back of my CD case, lol.

illpressureurhinges1 12-24-2007 02:07 PM

I personally like them. I think their newer stuff is better, but their debut was pretty good too. Smoke 'Em If Ya Got 'Em and Boneyards are probably their too best songs.

LifeInABox 12-24-2007 05:20 PM

This thread has gone to ****, guys :(

Jhazmyne's Lullaby is so awesome

I just downloaded it, but I haven't really listened to it. From what I've heard though, its pretty good.

LifeInABox 12-24-2007 06:21 PM

Yes.

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 06:25 PM

Thrice is definately post-music now. I want to see them get put on the Bamboozle bill again and have a ton of people show up to their set, and then have 5 left after they play stuff from The Alchemy Index.

illpressureurhinges1 12-24-2007 06:27 PM

They went downhill after The Artist In The Ambulance.

Concubine 12-24-2007 06:29 PM

wrong

but lets not talk about them here

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:32 PM

I feel he's right, but if we want to continue it, we should create a Thrice thread.

illpressureurhinges1 12-24-2007 06:34 PM
I feel he's right, but if we want to continue it, we should create a Thrice thread.
Anyone want to take the liberty of doing that?

DonnieM21i 12-24-2007 06:36 PM

puscifer

Valhall 12-24-2007 06:37 PM

First one who does will get flamed by the rest of R&M, and since I'm already on the **** list, it's someone else's turn.

illpressureurhinges1 12-24-2007 06:38 PM
First one who does will get flamed by the rest of R&M, and since I'm already on the **** list, it's someone else's turn.
I'm in the same situation, except worse, that's why I asked if anyone else wanted to do it.

LifeInABox 12-24-2007 06:40 PM

There is already a Thrice thread.

illpressureurhinges1 12-24-2007 06:41 PM

And Eliminator just started, I guess in a way, another Thrice thread.

DJTeeLay 12-24-2007 08:20 PM

Here are some awesome bands that I know all the members too.

....They're local.
