Here's the final result of my bootleg Brak. It's very obviously bootleg, because I didn't have all the colors I needed. I also had to do a lot of touching up.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/Stencils/brakstencil.jpg
holy crap. nicely done. |
I reckon i'm gonna make a new shirt soon.
|
just got my Clit 45 patch on but i should work on my minor threat BUT i have no more white fabric paint and i need more colors. it is just so damn expensive but saves money in the long run
|
What did you use to cut it? The sharper the blade you use, the easier and more detailed you can make the stencil. Go to an art store and look for an X-acto blade.
Ive been using a thumb tack, poking holes in and tearing. Im goin to color the back ground the colors of bolivia. will that ruin the look of having joe strummer on top?? |
Ive been using a thumb tack, poking holes in and tearing.
Hahahaha. How crude.:p |
hmm...although this isn't entirey the place to ask, it's been a quesion on my mind.
When something says "$8.00ppd US" (or another dollar amount....) what exactly does ppd stand for and does it mean I have to include money for postage? I want to order something and don't know if $8 is enough... |
Definitely Post and Package. Maybe, Post and Package Due?
|

im making a new shirt. im not telling you guys about it yet though. its a suprise. its going to be soo good you dont understand.
|
Suspenseful!
|
Ive been using a thumb tack, poking holes in and tearing.
haha, defiantly go get an x-acto blade |
I dont know about anywhere else, but I got a set of x-acto-like knives, three types of handles plus a bunch different types of blades for 99 cents at a dollar store.
|
Im really close to completeing my Joe Strummer shirt. Just one question though. when using the freezer paper, and using a multi-layer stencil, will the freezer paper stick to the first layer of paint??
O yea, two thing. Freezer paper, for those who havent tried is THE best way to stencil. Also the X-acto blade is great, alot better then using a thumb tack. |
I love x-actos. Except it hurts like a bitch when the blade goes under your fingernail.
They cut duct tape really well, my latest DIY project was making a new duct tape bookmark since I lost my other one. |
It won't stick if the first layer is completly dry.. |
What if i washed the shirt with the first layer completely dry. Then doesnt that make the shirt all clothy again?
|
Guys, I'm thinking of making my DIY one word t-shirts.
Ex: http://www.jinx.com/scripts/details.asp?affid=-1&productID=267 Does anyone know off the back what that font is? |
im pretty sure thats the only thing on the shirt. nothing much to it.
|

Ex: http://www.jinx.com/scripts/details.asp?affid=-1&productID=267 Does anyone know off the back what that font is?
Lol, it's "off the bat", not "back".:p I think it's probably something like Block Type Write or something like that. I could be completely wrong though. |
ok, so my Joe Strummer shirt went a little wrong. its not ruined just, unplanned. I got the front and the back mixed up. so everything that i wanted to be on the front is now on the back and a little bit to low.
Here’s my main problem. the front looks to blank. does any one know anything small that i can put over the front of the shirt over the heart. (like a crest) |
You could put the Clash Star logo.
|
o ok, i thought the world went mad or something. But really whats somethin i can put on the front.

You could put the Clash Star logo.
Yeah, that's a good idea. Something like this except bigger: http://www.angryyoungandpoor.com/store/pc/catalog/thumbs/ts/clashjefft.jpg |
just put "the clash". its simple, yet effective.
|
Lol, it's "off the bat", not "back".:p

any ways no one posted so. here is the finished shirt:
far away: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/h-drix/Picture001.jpg close up: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/h-drix/Picture002.jpg if i do put something on the front ill put the clash star with joe stummers DoB and DoD. cause that would be the easiest thing to do, i think. |
Hey, not bad, it came out pretty good.
|
Yeah, that looks pretty cool.
|
It looks really awesome, IMO.
|
that looks pretty wicked.
|
It's cute, cute the way it is.
Don't change it! |

Way to make the page super-wide, Kevin.
|
yeah dude that shirt is sick!
thats the back? |
yeah dude that shirt is sick!
thats the back?
Thanks alot, and yes thats the back. Its a little far down, so theres a good sized blank at the top. Maybe im just a little to hard on myself, i dunno. |
Nah, I think when anyone makes something they instantly notice what they did wrong.
|
Mhmm, that's one of the coolest I've seen done in a long time. I love it!
My friend just made a wicked Aquabats tshirt yesterday, and it's really trippy too. |
so. tonight has been quite the eventful night. remember that suprise i was talking about? its done and its awesome! its an op ivy shirt. but this isnt a regular op ivy shirt. i stepped it up on this one. from the front it looks like just a plain ol op ivy shirt:
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/IMG_0511.jpg but when you look at the back: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/IMG_0513.jpg i printed out 9 pages of parts of it and put them together on a big posterboard and i cut it out today. i didnt think it would turn out this well but it did. im pretty excited. heres a picture of the monster stencil (double entendre): http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/IMG_0525.jpg heres a pick of the back with the cd http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/IMG_0526.jpg just thought it would make a cool picture. |
That's the coolest thing I've seen here.
|
Holy ****, that's awesome! Nice job :thumb:
|
