I didn't know I was implying that you were homophobic.

Given that you live in Australia, which has more polyandrous and lesbian relationships per capita than any other country, I presumed you were fairly accepting of the gay community.
Me personally sure, but there's a lot of sort of... hmm... unspoken and subtle hatred/fear of the whole thing. At least I think so.

Best thing about Foxtel is the bad movies.

funkyhoney 08-03-2009 09:39 AM

Well apparently there's a ghost of a decapitated girl that lives in the forest across my street, heard many a story about such sightings. I can see how people can get those sorts of ideas, driving home from work after late nights when there's just nothing else around and a huge empty forest is quite chilling. Especially when you go through the road that link two suburbs and goes straight through the middle, no lights, no people, just forest on either side.

There's alot of ghost sighting stories around here actually, the other one that springs to mind is the one about a little Asian boy who you see wandering across the road and makes people crash.

Bunyips and yowies are like your bigfoot and sasquatch.

Bunyips live in swamps though.

funkyhoney 08-03-2009 09:46 AM

Here's a real photo of a bunyip.

**** dude bunyip is way cooler than sasquatch. like zoras from zelda

gaslight 08-03-2009 09:48 AM

It's said bunyips only attack people who don't believe in them. The resulting logical quandry means the attacks tend to be mercifully brief.

Dinosaur fossils are all fake man there's no proof any of them are real.

Some dinosaurs be packin' tails all swoll.
I'm seeing Tool live on Wednesday. Should be awesome.
Don't expect to hear anything from Undertow or Opiate. Do expect that the sound quality will be phenomenal and do expect to have a good time.
Some dinosaurs be packin' tails all swoll.
I still don't know what that means.

gaslight 08-03-2009 10:17 AM

I think it's meant to be "swoll" as in "swollen".

If you're swoll then you're buff, ripped, whatever, I think.

Well, apparently they've been playing Flood at most of these shows, so that would be awesome if they keep it in the set.

I'm not really expecting to hear old stuff, I'm just really excited to see them again. It'll be my 4th time seeing them. I just wish that they'd play Eulogy. I love that song and I've never seen them play it live.

Epidemechanical 08-03-2009 10:30 AM

Eulogy is such a terrible song just like everything else off that album. what garbage.

That would have been awesome to hear "Flood" or "Four Degrees" at either of their shows that I've been to, but it's always been Aenima and newer. Let me know if they play anything older.

I've thought the same thing about Eulogy every time I've seen them. Maybe Danny just doesn't feel like using his electric pads or something.

I... see...

Spaceman Spiff 08-03-2009 10:41 AM

They played Sober one of the times that I saw them. Other than that I think all the stuff I've seen them play was Aenima and later. They've been consistently incredible each time I've seen them, regardless of the setlist.

FunkMetalBass 08-03-2009 10:43 AM
Eulogy is such a terrible song just like everything else off that album. what garbage.
I listen to it solely for the drums. It's chop full of fun polyrhythms.

Epidemechanical 08-03-2009 10:47 AM

that songs so hard i cant believe anybody would ever consider it a good song

it has no sense of melody or structure it's incredibly undefined and unremarkable the guitar and bass are equally banal and pointless (you might as well sooner not have either of them and the song wouldnt change much) and the vocals are stupid and poorly written. the phrasing is god awful

that song stands seriously as one of my worst songs ever written by a (semi) good band. but none of the songs are any good off of that album so oh well.

Spaceman Spiff 08-03-2009 10:47 AM

Eulogy is easily one of my favorite Tool songs.

Hopefully they play Aenima, that song always kills.

I'll be happy with whatever they choose to play, but some songs would be great to see them play.
