Seeming that the thread Thread that i was going to post this in got closed, i thought that i would do it in this as well.

Last nite i went to see the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, and well it was amazing. I was 1 away from the front, and the venue had to hold no more then 100 people (it was the Bar in Islington Acdamy(sp)).

Jimmy for a start, well he was amazing. The single stroke rolls that he was pulling off where so fast, and powerful. And his feet work, he had to be playing at one point 16th's at 120BMP on a single pedal. He was so good, and you could see that his heart was in it. But no what i would say drum solo, but he did a snare solo that was true class. Just watching him play has reignited my drumming, as now i want to play as well as he did.

And Billy (the bassest). I have never seen a bass play like this before. I mean he was jaming away, and then went for it, changed the tuning on his bass, putting it next to his stack to get reverb, he is such a amazing player.

So well, i thought i would share my experance with you, and below are my four favorate pic's of the show.

Double Bass Jim 08-25-2005 05:26 AM

I happend to watch forrest gump today (havent seen it in years). I forgot how great of a film that really was. The way it played out start to finish was great, just goes to show if you live a decent life doing the right things, making good choices ect ect... you can succeed no matter who you are.

Firecracker 08-25-2005 05:36 AM

I received Dogma the dvd in the post today, great film. Got it in ebay.
And the cricket's on, i must go and watch it.

PowerStamp 08-25-2005 06:02 AM

Dogma is awesome, and Forrest Gump is incredible, truly a cinematic masterpiece. That's one for the ages.

I'm gonna go downstairs actually and watch a movie before work (oddly enough not overnight tonight, 11AM to 5PM, sweet)

Hm. What to watch..maybe Dawn of the Dead (remake), bought it awhile back...Napoleon Dynamite maybe. I dunno lol, maybe just some Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I need to get more SNES roms...I beat Super Mario World on my PSP yesterday and started on Mario RPG today.

Double Bass Jim 08-25-2005 06:04 AM

Yea man it really is, everyone should see that film.

PowerStamp 08-25-2005 07:56 AM

lol so I ended up watching half of The Incredibles, and then turning on the Lamb of God DVD (Killadelphia, concert footage only this round) and while that was on I rearranged my drums in a very odd manner, pictures soon in Gear section.

poppinfresh 08-25-2005 10:57 AM
