His stage presence was way better at Electric Factory a year ago. Making fun of idiots in the crowd, talking a lot, headbanging way more, etc. And James and Glen barely did anything at Gigantour, at Electric Factory they were headbanging like crazy the whole show.

Dave gave his reasons for not talking much; they don't have much time, so they just want to play music. I understand that completely. But I think festivals suck balls. I mean, an hour and a half just isn't enough for Megadeth, and 30 minutes for Nevermore is a joke.

Jev 09-10-2005 12:52 PM

50 minutes for Megadeth IS NOT ENOUGH
Stupid crappy Feeder headlining.

heavy metal kid 09-10-2005 12:58 PM

Gigantour:
In SD Dave actually spoke to the crowd.
Besides the pyro effects were cool.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 01:01 PM

That's because its San Diego.

heavy metal kid 09-10-2005 01:04 PM
That's because its San Diego.
and maybe because only 4 bands where at the show.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 01:08 PM

Yeah at my show he said that he didn't want to talk much because they might run out of time, and I would have been pissed if they didn't have enough time to play Holy Wars so I'm glad he didn't talk much.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 01:12 PM

My biggest gripe was that the only song that surprised me was She-Wolf. Everything else was 100% predictable.

heavy metal kid 09-10-2005 01:20 PM

They play almost all the greatest hits album and a few from the system has failed.
Like you said 100% predictable.

CaptainWaits 09-10-2005 01:28 PM

That's exactly what he said at mine too, but like I said earlier, they still were pretty boring to watch.

They played STWA at my show, that supirsed me.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 01:56 PM

Didn't surprise me, because they played it last time.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 02:48 PM

They played everything that they played when I saw them in November, except for STWA and She-Wolf, but She-Wolf was the only one that surprised me.

Father_Jack 09-10-2005 02:49 PM

STWA?

Jev 09-10-2005 02:51 PM
STWA?
Set The World Afire.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 07:42 PM

Does anyone know how long it's going to take before the Gigantour DVD comes out? I can't wait to buy it.

FlyingPaul_83 09-10-2005 07:58 PM

hopefully soon, and hopefully it won't be expensive.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 07:59 PM

I hope they don't pull a Metallica and charge 80 bucks for it.

FlyingPaul_83 09-10-2005 08:49 PM

I want it to be $15, but it'll probably be like 20-30.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 09:09 PM

Probably 30-40, I think Rude Awakening is 25.

Five Magics 09-11-2005 12:08 AM

What's the big deal with their stage presence? Im there to watch them play the songs I love, not to run around stage, headbanging, and talking. Sure those things are great too dont get me wrong, but I am there for the music first and foremost.

MAthiAS 09-11-2005 12:10 AM

I can listen to the music at home for free.

vashts80 09-11-2005 12:14 AM

You're missing the thing. They DO headbang. They do move around. Everybody says they don't, but they do. Same with Dream Theater. Myung moves, Petrucci moves, LaBrie moves, Portnoy is active behind his hugantic drumkit, and Rudess is always turning his keyboard and smiling.

MAthiAS 09-11-2005 12:21 AM

Don't give me that bullshit, DT don't move outside of a little bit from Labrie.

Deth don't headbang very well anymore... they're not into it.

vashts80 09-11-2005 12:27 AM

I will give it to you, because it's true. DT aren't DEP where they're jumping off their amps, but all of them were hugely active, for THEM. Maybe not for a band like Dillenger Escape Plan, but comparing it to them on the ToT tour, they're a lot more active.

MAthiAS 09-11-2005 12:29 AM

Yeah technically they're moving. But they're still boring live.

Ramza_Beoulve 09-11-2005 12:44 AM

I though Dream Theater did great, and Megadeth had a great stage presence.

MAthiAS 09-11-2005 12:49 AM

Why were you banned man?

heavy metal kid 09-11-2005 12:50 AM
Yeah technically they're moving. But they're still boring live.
i found somehow ironic that Fear Factory was the crappiest band on the first stage(still i like them) and they interacted with the crowd more than the other bands.

Ramza_Beoulve 09-11-2005 12:51 AM
Why were you banned man?
yeah............................:upset:

MAthiAS 09-11-2005 12:52 AM

Yeah, and Bobaflex were the worst band there, and they interacted a ton.
yeah
Why though?
