Bartender 03-21-2005 01:36 PM
Bartender, don't even bother with Soulseek. It's crap.
Generally worked well enough for me.
its an older Shadows Fall song...one of favs of all time
Cool.

The reason I got all messed up is because I'm studying up on demonology for a final project in my Unmaking the Medieval Cosmos class, because I'm making artwork based on Dante's Inferno. Even though Dante doesn't include "actual" demons in it, the concept of the heirarchy in Hell is very interesting to me, so I want to include them in it.

So if I see someone mention a demon's name, I get all excited.

\m/Pete\m/ 03-21-2005 01:39 PM

so ICB did you actually join thats little club Dargon was ranting about?

It's the only song of theirs I consistently listen to, actually.

Ripper - does the name Lairdrom mean anything to you?

Your logic is groundbreaking.

No. Why?

I'm not changing my name back to Ripper, BTW. :) Might as well get used to calling me my new name.

(If it's too silly sounding to you you can just call me Lucas)

Extended user title though, which removes the vast majority of any trendiness you may have.

It's funny how homosexuals are deeper in hell than murderers. At least, I think they were, they were deep, no doubt.

Cain 03-21-2005 01:43 PM
Yes I did.
He was very buffoonish when he was advertising that it here. He's always sounded a lot older than that.

Bartender 03-21-2005 01:45 PM
No. Why?
Just wondering. He's not a demon, so I didn't really have high hopes :)

Nah, I know you as Ripper, so Ripper you shall remain in my mind, at least for a while. I still call Non Sequitur zero, for example.

Shred Danson 03-21-2005 01:45 PM

And I'm still ICB, so it worked out fine.

Bartender 03-21-2005 01:48 PM

Indeed. Hurrah for logic.

\m/Pete\m/ 03-21-2005 01:49 PM

i have often wondered this what is true metal? This thought kinda goes hand in hand with my "what is heavy" thread

Cain 03-21-2005 01:49 PM
It's funny how homosexuals are deeper in hell than murderers. At least, I think they were, they were deep, no doubt.
According to Dante, I don't think homosexuals went in. If they did, it was to the second circle, where the lustful went. They never showed up by name. The only people that were in deeper than murderers were the fraudulent and the traitorous.

Like Cain, oddly enough. :p I think one of the pouches in the ninth circle is reserved for him, or at least it's named after him.

Seriously, the "homos go to hell" thing was an invention gradually made by the church in response to a few choice passages in our wonderfully vague Bible that seemed to say that only a man and woman's union would be respected by God. I don't think the major philosophers that "mapped out" Hell put them there.

I'd rather like to study Dante's Inferno, actually. I always wondered how exactly he decided to come up with it the way he did :-/

Samurai course is enough cool for now though, I think.
