There a Z Custom china as far as I know, but just the standard one. Perhaps it's medium thin in weight.

fishbulb 12-23-2006 11:22 AM

Drum Phil 12-23-2006 11:28 AM
There is such a thing?
Aye its just the standard one. I just decided to make a point that it isnt heavy as sin.

FL3P 12-23-2006 11:33 AM

Thats what I was thinking.

Drum Phil 12-23-2006 11:36 AM

Its stunning. I want to play with it now :(

FL3P 12-23-2006 11:41 AM

I hear ya. I got new gear but my drums are at my shop and not set up.

Josiah 12-23-2006 11:47 AM

You guys need multiple kits... at least 1 other to just leave setup at home for shedding. Doesn't have to be expensive, just get the job done kinda thing.

Drum Phil 12-23-2006 11:51 AM

Mines right behind me but everyones in and my chinas hidden away for Xmas.

Josiah 12-23-2006 12:06 PM

maniac0796 12-23-2006 12:26 PM

I just home from the ****ing greatest experience of my life.

IRON MAIDEN!!! At earls court last night. Friggin immense.

To start off with, Earls court is huge, it's indescribable...

To start off with, we had Lauren Harris' band come on, and Lauren harris is Steve harris' (the bassist from maiden) daughter. Her band were shocking and i'm sure i heard the same song 4 times, but Lauren herself is as fit as. I also caught the drumstick she stole off the drummer and chucked into the crowd at the end of her slot. So i have a vater Rock Hickory sitting on my desk with alot of rim shot marks.

Then we had Trivium. Personally, i don't think Trivium were up to standard as usual. When i saw em at Exeter in march, they were amazing, really got the crowd moving, but here, they weren't as good.

Then we had maiden. Interesting. Played their whole new album back to back, and then evil that men do, hallowed be thy name, iron maiden and fear of the dark (found a use for my lighter :D) Halfway through their set though, they managed to make the mains power cable for earls court catch on fire due to the amount of power they were using. So we sang Christmas carols, played with a football and messed around with the band during that 20 mins whilst they re-wired "a cable the thickness of an anaconda" according to Bruce.

But, it was an amazing night. I am now, £85 down due to London being so expensive, one drum stick up, and an amazing memory and experience up.

Anyone else here who went, say so.

the_pure_drummer 12-23-2006 12:28 PM

Hey man that sounds amazing, how close to the stage were you?

maniac0796 12-23-2006 12:30 PM

For Lauren Harris, about 10ft, for Trivium, about 15ft, and for maiden, around 15ft, and at the end, 50ft (i went to get water + a rest)

Maggot Dream 12-23-2006 12:34 PM

Getting that close at a show is awesome. At Wakarusa last summer, we were about 10 feet from the stage at most of the big acts. Great times.

Janeway 12-23-2006 12:45 PM

I'm not in a very happy mood today.

No reason, though.

Leprechauns1021 12-23-2006 01:29 PM

I wish I had the room for my kit at my house but I don't have any extra room. Couldn't afford to be that picky buying my first house but I hope to upgrade soon.

If you want a guitarist with great technical ability, taste, and who makes great music, go for Buckethead. I'd take him against Malmsteen any day, and he's a far better songwriter.

the_pure_drummer 12-23-2006 03:07 PM

Herman li owns them all!
