Depends on the kinda jazz I guess, I don't think you can really classify cymbals by genre... I've heard guys bust some wicked comping off china's in jazz, etc

then whats all of this stuff i hear in the cymbal finder, because everything there totaly contradicts what you just said.

how would a clear amb sound for snare side?

i'm not that good with heads, but prob. not so good, you'd want a snareside amb because you need thinner heads for that

ive heard that being used before, and i hated it.

another good thing happened the other day...

my new guitarist was warming up, and he played the intro to as i am by DT. so i thought id test him, and started playing those cool drum fills...

we played the WHOLE song. including his solo....

i was amazed. my other guitarist kinda kept up, and my bassist freaked out...

WTF cant play dream theater without keyboards. Go get a keyboardist!
