there was a time when they actually had bands here that weren't crunkcore but um i was like nine and wasn't allowed to go to the shows because of the satanic factor

black tusk is playing in new orleans TONIGHT. i havent even looked any further into the shows in the area but i would put money on the fact that a large number of them are sludge shows.

but i've lived here all my life and im pretty sure that other than the indie bands that play downtown the only scene here at all is three ska bands , and it's generally about five or six years between any time a well-known band will come to Louisiana
