Over gav's head.
Seriously.

All the dudes at my school are like that, though, and call themselves prep so I had to just say something.
Just go to college and major in business, that is what people do when they don't know what they want to do in life and have no talent/skills.
Maybe this is just young naivity talking, but I think I'd rather be an aimless loser than a suit.

faith and fiction 10-23-2006 11:41 PM

All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Luxor 10-23-2006 11:56 PM

I'm taking advertising at college, it's ok. it's like 75% business, 25% design. pretty unique program actually.

I'll still be 19 when I graduate in the spring, I highly doubt i'll be looking for a "career" that soon though.

Dextomethorphan 10-24-2006 06:43 AM

I've given a lot of thought to being a commercial trucker...

By the way I go into surgery today for my thumb. I lost some of it in an accident while I was helping out at an all-ages venue that my friends own. They rushed me to the ER Friday and found the rest of my thumb on the floor. It's my right thumb so I really can't play guitar, so I kind of feel like Gav right now. It will probably heal though. I'm actually supposed to be there in less than an hour so wish me luck!

Not everyone who goes to college becomes "rich as hell."

True, talk to 90% of people with degrees in English or Philosophy who didn't do teaching.

I'd rather be poor as hell and content with my life then be rich as hell and miserable signing my life away to a soulless corporate entity.

RetiredAt21 10-24-2006 12:52 PM

And having your slut wife cheat on you with the pool boy!

lol alright bud. because everything is that black and white, right.

BuddyBigsby 10-24-2006 02:12 PM

Shut the **** up and go enjoy your free healthcare. No one asked you to join this.

And yes, of course its not that black and white. I'm fully aware I can also have a degree and still be poor and still be miserable and lose on all sides.

cbmartinez 10-24-2006 02:14 PM

Free healthcare is pretty fly.

Let's Chop Cats! 10-24-2006 02:36 PM

Engineering for the win. Something I like and will make me rich as hell. Also I plan on winning the lotto.

HAH!

Good luck.

Two of the toughest fields, man. You need years and years of education. I'm talking college, grad school, then PhD school. Probably like 10 years of education after high school.

Lazybassplr56 10-24-2006 06:40 PM

This topic is getting to serious for me man. Let's change the subject and talk about how homo Gav is.

He's homo.

What exactly does Engineering encompass? Desk work?

I wouldn't mind doing something with computers but its such a crowded field.

raus 10-24-2006 06:41 PM

Talk about drugs.

I don't mind man, if I choose Nuclear Engineering I'm going to stay here and go to UT because they have a decent program and Oak Ridge National Labratory is like 20 minutes from it. I don't mind the tons of work it's a field that really interests me.
Talk about drugs.
