12 Angry Men (the movie) rules.

Illmatic 10-16-2005 04:49 PM

He was killed outside his apartment building, I believe.
Some of my sister's friends went to Jim Morrison's grave in France. That must have been a cool grave to visit. Possibly the coolest.
One of my friends saw Jimi Hendrix's childhood home in Seattle

*central park

I bet Jim Morrison has a really cool grave.
I thought he was killed in his appartment

We almost went to strawberry fields when the drama club went to see "12 Angry men", but it was way out of the way. That was when the gates were up

He was leaving his apartment with Yoko and going for a walk through central park. He lived in the Dakota building, which is basically in central park. He and Yoko walked through central park every night. That would be awesome to just be in central park and see John Lennon. He was shot outside though, not in the building. And yes, Morrison's grave would be awesome.

np- Pigs (still, it's 24 minutes long)

Edit- Page 1600 W000t

TheDMV 10-16-2005 05:01 PM

New avatar. I almost figured this pic of Jim was scary enuff without zombifyage.

Walrus Gumboot 10-16-2005 05:03 PM

Wow, I have been quoted four times, this must be a record :p

I have never seen the movie, but the play was awesome. One of the assholes I play Trombone with has a dad that plays one of the jurors, so we got to have an interview and a backstage tour with the whole cast after the show

EDIT:Congradulations, DMV, for being the first I have seen to use to location box to put lyrics in, something that I'm sure will catch on, and eventually be elimianted

Lunch 10-16-2005 05:03 PM

I imagine the play would be very similar to the movie.

BludgeonySteve 10-16-2005 05:03 PM

That looks like it's after he let himself go. What with the massive beard and all.

edit: to dmv

"Spatulas"? WTF?

As for 12 Angry Men, I've seen the original and the remake (which includes an angry young black man, a wise old black man, and Tony Danza), but I haven't seen either in a while.

AHH There is evidence of a new swear filter. I typed in a-s-s-h ole, but it changed it to spatulas

God damn mother fucking swear filter piece of shit.

EDIT: Wow, I can see this fusty walrus thing getting annoying after a while

angusmaster 10-16-2005 05:24 PM

^^That has gotta be the funniest thing ive seen all day.

Jacaranda 10-16-2005 05:46 PM

Whoa back from my dads house and MX changed. I don't like it at all its really annoying... Change is bad.

Walrus Gumboot 10-16-2005 06:01 PM

I'm starting to like it. I have changed my location a few times in the past hour. I think of something and then change it depending on which Grateful Dead song I'm listening to

Broken Arrow 10-16-2005 06:03 PM

I saw you had the Mars Hotel as a home.

The Mars Hotel was a blatant rip-off of this kid:

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/member.php?u=175297

Tho only known MXer that goes to my school, he joined one day when we were hanging out after school or at study hall or something

Its kinda funny because I wanted to change my name to China Cat Sunflower, but then I remebered that he took it :upset:

jpj 10-16-2005 06:23 PM

I have the best location

Broken Arrow 10-16-2005 06:26 PM

Rememeber when that was the name of the EF communtity thread since it got changed noone posts in it any more,.

JonG 10-16-2005 06:28 PM

:p

np: Jeff Beck - AIR Blower

Walrus Gumboot 10-16-2005 06:28 PM
I have the best location
Mars Hotel
Terrapin Station
Shakedown Street
Brokedown Palace
Franklin's Tower
The Golden Road (To Unlimeted Devotion)
Ship of Fools
EDIT: Mountains of the Moon

Would all be acceptable

I really like Franklin's Tower. I might change after a while.

Badmoon 10-16-2005 06:30 PM

Fennario

The least obvious of the Grateful Dead references.

Pretty much on his front steps.

/Beatles nerd

Krabsworth 10-16-2005 06:32 PM

This fucking swear filter sucks

JonG 10-16-2005 06:32 PM

<--Cool location.

np: Hideaway
Fennario

I think the case is that if you know one of them, you know all of them, just as it seems to be that people either don't listen to the GD, have their best of, or have their entire discography, and pretty much nothing in between

It seems that you either don't like them or you are a deadhead, and not much else in between

Of course I say this as a generality

EDIT: Nice avatar jpj, it took me a while but I get it now

Glitterati 10-16-2005 06:41 PM
No matter how creepy and perverted he is today, "Billie Jean" is still an amazing fucking song.
Yeah mang. He's got his problems, but back in the day, he had mad talent. I considered buying the special edition of Thriller a while back.

Illmatic 10-16-2005 06:55 PM

"C'mon man, he made Thriller. Thriller!" - Dave Chappelle

Also, Grateful Dead contests? C'mon guys.

Illmatic 10-16-2005 06:57 PM
Thriller's a brilliant album...a lot of his work with Jackson 5 is very good as well, if you're in to that sort of stuff. He was so talented before he became one of the most screwed up people around.
The Jackson 5 are right up there with James Brown in the pantheon of "most sampled artists"

jpj 10-16-2005 06:58 PM

So are you black or Mexican?

BludgeonySteve 10-16-2005 07:00 PM

Thriller is a great album. When Slash and Eddie Van Halen ask to play on your album, you know you're good.
