So, any one know of a great overdrive pedal that can go from a sweet bluesy light crunch to a decent Marshall/British rock crunch? I pretty much only require that it be true by-pass.
My research has the MXR Custom Shop GT-OD in the #1 spot followed closely by the Fulltone OCD. Both seem fairly versatile, but there are minor issues with both. Can't seem to find a place that sells the GT-OD excluding MXR's web site and honestly... the 4th gen of the OCD just doesn't sound as good as the previous three. I really was digging the OCD... until I watched a video comparing gen 1-4 to each other. IF I jizz my pants listening to it I'd go up to $200, but pending I can find the damn thing the GT-OD sells for $100. So I don't see a point in going too much over that if it isn't worth it. |
carl martin plexiton sounds liek ur man
i love a BB+ a fulldrive or even the new JS Ice9 overdrive seems awsome |
Hah, you guys are retards. They're amazing tasting.
Do you really think I'd make a cake that tastes like a gulp of jack and coke, harsh kick and all? No. It has a coke flavoured icing and a JD aftertaste to the lime bun. Delicious. But anyways. Wifey is making lime curd, to go in Magarita cupcakes at the weekend. My next trial is Pina Colada flavour ones, but I'm stuck on how to do the pineapple.
allow making fatty/starchy iterations of cocktail pairings, that's disgusting. pineapple at room temperature is awful. hot or iced dessert version of pina colada would be good tho, same with margarita pineapple and chilli jelly is very good and could provide the cocktail 'kick' **** yeah make like a jaffa cake sort of thing with pineapple and chilli jelly, rum-soaked light meringue based sponge and a bitter coconut frosting |
argh that ****ing avatar
|
The avatar looks even weirder on opera mini on my phone with the images set to low reso! ...watching the world cup with some beers, whoever wins today will win the wc.... Spain is my guess atm...

Dammir, I missed fetish pictures? :(
Three more days of work over five, then I'm off to the USA! Wahoo. Been playing a bit of guitar today and I'm thinking about practising again, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered. Maybe I should learn a song. |
Buckethead songs (well, his last few albums at least) are great cause theyre simple and easy but he writes some great stuff. It's really easy to build up a lot of material to play really quickly and a lot of different sounds/styles/ways of playing.
Or the prelude from Final Fantasy 7 cause its orgasmic. |
wait was that a serious post squirrel?

Yeah, I'll probably pick it up after my next pay check (15th). Gonna go up to GC and see if their dumb buts have it out to play with first. Though inevitably they wont. I don't think they actually hook up pedals more than worth like $60 bucks past the multi-effects. |
prob behind the counter!
try the satchurator, ice9 and a fulldrive.. carl martin plexitone really really rocks, but probably momre $$ and may not be there ive use a fulldrive and a keeley baked ts9 for all my overdrive needs.... the ice9 does sound awsome though |

BBQ flavour is one of the worst tastes in the world.
I would do the lamb with corriander houmous, falafel and flatbreads. Get some yoghurt with mint and yumm. |
not the biggest fan of BBQ myself but i dont really mind it
|
I described something a real man would eat and AG responds by saying that he dislikes it.
|
im indifferent about it, on the fence if you will
|
BBQ is awesome. BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, BBQ human. Its all good.
|
what about BBQ BBQ
|
what about BBQ BBQ
Thats too much BBQ for any one man to take. Unless that man is Bas Rutten. |
BBQ is good if it's good BBQ and not meh BBQ.
|
I sincerely hope this is a real barbeque.

Ice 9 sounds pretty cool, but I can't find a good video review on it. Plus, though I can't find official prices, it seems that is $200. Killing me here. Though I will admit I was looking at the Homebrew Electronics Big D as well. Which is in the same price range. Though honestly if I'm going for a distortion pedal I think I've some what fallen for the Greenhouse Effects No Brainer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QugaZhyGhCs Edit: Do like the multiple channels on the Carl Martin Plexiton. It is kind of an amp in a box. <.< |
it is, its an unbeleivable pedal! is expensive but you get what you pay for and all that jazz, but there is cheaper options that are pretty similar, its ur call
|
Hombrew makes a great pedal too. Shi theres so many great pedals out there. I guess thats why hcfx dudes have like a pedaltrain pro just for overdrives

Bad Wisdom by Bill Drummond and Mark Manning. Written as a side by side description of the same story seen by two complete nutters, one who likes to make up reality, and one who seems to destroy it at will. Oh, and by the way, the story never explicitly makes clear which of the two is writing at any one time, resulting in segments of debauched but relative normality segueing seamlessly into accounts of utterly bizarre prose, with absolutely no indication one person has stopped speaking and the other has started. Full of porn, fantasy, music, rock n roll, elvis, drugs, drugged out ex girlfriends, gigantic tattoos, scat, madonna, madonnas homosexual size queen slave engaging in a disgustingly well-described anal dildoing, a trip to the north pole with a million dollars and a picture of elvis, chippendales, chippendales wielding jewelled chainsaws and being repeatedly assured by the writers that they are in no way homosexual, chippendales engaging in male bonding that is over the top yet is STILL repeatedly described only as tremendously heterosexual, and Chippendales as a holy order dedicated to duelling with Darkness in the form of Madonna and Rupert Murdoch, eskimos, a man with such potent sperm that he has fathered hundreds of bastard sons and as such now only does anal, staffs, viking bikers, a bevy of supermodels on a train that get ****ed, a group of Nazi Kung-Fu sex bitches with Rottweilers that get ****ed and killed, and the worlds most incredible line of prose, bar none: "We were gonna free willy, fuck chicks and slay dragons. We are Zen Masters, and know what the fuck we are talking about" Sound like I'm giving it a negative review? WRONG. This is the greatest work of semi-fiction mankind has ever produced. |
sounds like a pile of ****
