If you learn more techniques, you broaden your view. Could be useful :p

I got plenty of techniques very few others use (first of the Geddy lee "flicking" and the John Entwistle "Typewriting" mainly using the typewriting though) i see no need to learn double thumping... The flicking gives me the same speed abilitys as double thumping anyhow..

pfft, wrong, in metal and probably a few other genres you can use tapping and DT'ing can be use in a funk environment, but still i think most advanced techniques discluding slapping are mainly for solo and entertainment purposes
