AG 04-04-2010 09:13 AM

I use AVG.

When I rebuild my computer I doubt I'll install any AVS. Prolly just a half decent firewall and then a spyware util.

Today I played with the slingbow with my Dad. It'll pierce through both sides of a biscuit tin at 15yrds. I also made an amazing flukey 45yrd shot into my 6"x12" target with a crosswind. I was by myself though and noone saw. /upsetface

Anyways, imma get this for my birthday:

So hawt. If you have to rely on one knife to do every task, it's this one.

Blue_Moon 04-04-2010 09:43 AM

You call that a knife...

This

The best thing about a Khukri is that it has 3 seperate blade profiles;

The curved area is very sharp, allowing for detailed cutting

The thickest part has a profile suitable for chopping and batoning wood

The tip of the blade has a profile suitable for push cutting or slicing.

Which makes it a great utility blade. It would be a rather silly choice as a weapon.

AG are you basically telling me that you're going to use it for whittling sticks

The_Mop 04-04-2010 04:49 PM

I once installed norton to a PC I was about to take apart (can't remember why now) - it was a fairly old version at the time and I didn't update the virus definitions - and it found a virus that AVG hadn't recognised for months, with constant updates.

Now as far as I'm concerned, Norton is pretty much the shittest antivirus you can get, not even considering if it's a few years behind in terms of virus definitions, but even THAT could spot a virus AVG willfully checked and moved on. Since, I've never trusted AVG.

NOD 32's supposed to be the best antivirus out there, and it's pretty cheap too. I got it a while back but I'm not really stupid enough to stumble upon viruses easily, so I can't really tell you how quickly it can act on these things XD

Left Face Down 04-04-2010 06:35 PM

Any one familiar, or know a web site, which gives you instructions on how to swap out the wires on a humbucker? I know I've read how to before, but I can't remember where I found it. The damn like 26 gauge wire on the stock ibanez pickups sucks balls I want to swap it out for 22 gauge like comes on after-markets from SD or DiMarzio.

Singles is easy, as the joints are out in the open. I just remember pickups having some trick to them or some annoyance.

JoshIsNumber3 04-04-2010 07:17 PM

That's probably one of those things that google has no information on at all.

Pretty much. Whittling, shelter making, trap making, arrow making, cutting firewood etc.

Sure, sounds fine.

Also my father said if I get the opportunity to buy a black market gun again I should do it. And he's an ex policeman. I'm gutted now because I was offered a shotty for £50 a couple of month ago.

It may have killed someone/been used in a robbery mind.

Squirrel 04-05-2010 06:15 AM

why would you want an illegal gun?

and why do you spend your time throwing knives at things
why would you want an illegal gun?

Shotguns are excellent home defense weapons. I'd rather buy a legal one, but I couldn't get a license if I tried. I don't own land and I'm not a member of a club. Even if I joined a club I'd have to keep my own gun at the club premises.

I've never thrown a knife at anything. Throwing knives are dumb.

Anywhoo's, it's a hobby, like you said. I find knives and guns interesting, and think it's cool to know/practise survival stuff. Saying its strange is like saying playing guitar is strange.

Why do like to make steel strings vibrate at different frequencies?

Squirrel 04-05-2010 07:27 AM

i dont, cause i dont play the guitar

but even then playing an isntrument isnt on a par with buying illegal weaponry

i wasnt aware you were such a massive target from armed robbers

and anyway youre ****ing retarded if in this day and age you shoot an intruder, especially when they check and it turns out its a black market weapon and you keep countelss knives in your house

i find it hard to believe youre this retarded

AG 04-05-2010 07:47 AM

I agree that if you shoot someone with an illegal weapon you're a retard and will go to prison.

But if your gun is registered you're better off shooting someone than stabbing someone.

If you stab someone, you're going to go to prison. The fact is that you have to put effort into stabbing someone, presupposing premeditation.

If you shoot someone as a last resort with your target rifle or your hunting shotgun, you might well get away with it, arguing that your life was threatened and you were scared/panicked.

But pah, I don't even really wanna talk about/justify my thoughts on gun control/personal rights/home defense/living in an unstable society.

People don't get away with it. they get charged and get sent to prison.

Neither would I, if I was big on shooting people with illegal weapons.

The only use for guns is for killing things

Guitars are great for entertaining people and producing music

The_Mop 04-05-2010 09:54 AM
The only use for guns is for killing things
Do you eat meat?

Do you enjoy living in a house/street/town without a rat infection?

Do you wear leather?

Killing things =/= bad.

Squirrel 04-05-2010 10:34 AM

What retarded logic.

AG 04-05-2010 11:34 AM

As I previously stated, it's nothing I force upon anyone. What I have in my own home = my business. I don't care what you think and nothing you could come out with is likely to make me change my mind. Imma keep posting what I find interesting in this thread, and you guys can post, err, whatever it is that you like.

you don't have to use a gun for that reason. it can also be used for target practice and games which can serve as entertainment.

it's like trying to say people that do archery only do so to learn to kill. that isn't so. yes it can kill but that doesn't mean you use it for that.

if that was the case than you could argue anyone learning a art or skill that can hurt people or kill is a sign of a violent nature. than you could have everything from playing darts to martial arts being a red flag. that's  funny.

AG 04-05-2010 01:46 PM

I want to live in Vermont. Real bad.

Open carry at 16.

Concealed carry at 18.

No liscence needed to buy a firearm.

No assault weapon ban.
